I'm down for Generation Toy Protectabots and maybe ever DX9 Stunticons. The Fana Toys Kupp looks awesome. Gonna have a small wallet next year.

    Nicely said, sir! :thumb

I will agree with you on the Twintwist/Topspin situation, and that $22 isn't too bad if you get to support a great group like Agabyss! But I'm not sure how much I can go past this TR line...

Half the fun of buying these toys is going to the store and finding them, imo. :banghead:  Con's are a great second place for me. But ordering the toys online? :(  If the store selection continues to be so piss-poor (and I definitely blame Hasbro, as it's their choice to sell the 2 Jumpstarters separately and awkwardly like that!), then I'm out.

I can excuse 3P for being online exclusive, but we've hit the point where a good chunk of Hasbro merch is online exclusive, too. :banghead:  And I'm really not down for paying near 3P prices for what should be available at my local Target (at an already inflated MSRP).

Okay, so I'm curious to know what you got.

I wondered the same thing, and searched the boards to no avail. So I started a thread figuring I'd get to see thoughts of others as well as some pics of hauls and a mod would move it to wherever that thread to discuss was.

About a week before TFcon, I an OS KO(?) of a jumpstarter in a color variant I hadn't seen before. When I got to TFcon, there was a table of loose transformers piled on a table in zip lock bags sliding off one another and after digging though it I found probably half a dozen G1 jump starters that were color variants. Each time I thought I was done searching for a bit and would come back later, I found some other gems. The guy there was giving some pretty nice deals in that people would bring their selections to him, name a price, and in many instances that I saw/heard while digging, he'd accept. As for the jump starter variants, I picked up three.

I like these 3rd party stuff, but they are usually out of my price range.

Holy shit! Is this X from the other TF sight that always pissed people off? It's been years! Glad to see you still at it! I do agree MMC should have stayed on point, I'm bored with the DJD now and will likely pass.

    Dude slow your role...

Did you buy Feral Rex ?

    I did....

    Did you buy Felisaber ?

    I did...

Did you buy at least 2 fembots?

    I did...

    Did you buy Spartan?

    I did...

    Did you buy Commotus?

    I did...

And I would like to get the other 2 DJD guys if thats not a problem. If they stopped making Feral Rex members to make characters Hasbro already made, there would have been an fan uproar. How is stopping the DJD set to do beast machines any different? I mean seriously...Beast Machines? Cmon man get real. Whats next? MMC Botanica?

Edit: I had never even knew a prototype for Helix existed known as "Mors". I thought they stopped after Tarn. Thats a good sign....

But Istill stand by what I said about Beast machines....

    You have options:

Legends scale stuff from DX9, Unique Toys, or Iron Factory go for $25-50 (depending on accessory level). But if even that sounds pricey, you need to get in touch with a new company called MECH PLANET/Mech Fans Toys - they just made a pretty awesome Legends Soundwave (and an Ironhide) for about $15! :D  You can see their display in the slides, actually (and a G1 Bumblebee is on the way! Woo! :thumb ).

If Legends is too small, there are still some CHUG stuff for relatively cheap. And by that, I mean you have to also consider the current Hasbro prices! :lol  A deluxe should cost you around $15, right? Except that you can't find it locally, so you have to pay a seller closer to $20-25 (or more). A Hasbro Leader class is now $45!

Expect companies like Mech Planet to really change the 3P game. They're a quality company making good figures for super cheap (and the plastic quality is nice, not crap KO quality!). With their recent success (and as 3Ps get the necessary manufacturing expertise), I expect more companies to travel down that economic road, while Hasbro will continue to struggle to sell their products at reasonable prices. And to be fair, Hasbro is currently more interested in selling 1-steps and movie toys, so if you're a fan of G1, you need to go 3P at some point (or quit collecting). :confused2

Lmao! Is it weird I was nostalgic about it? We had some decent meme wars a few times. I don't think that would fly here.

But they didn’t stop. They’re working on them. They aren’t cancelled. You’re the only one who needs to slow his roll.

Plus, nothing wrong with Beast Machines.
