Hey, I'm kind of in a pickle.

I really want to get a Brainstorm, but I really don't know what'd be a better value for me. Am I better off with:

• the Titans Return Brainstorm ($29.99 at Big Bad Toy Store)

or...

• LG-39 Brainstorm + the Headmaster set that features Arcana with Brainstorm's face-plated head. (I really love the blue paint-job, but not the face, so I'd have to get the 6-pack of Headmasters for the faceplate head, but that plus LG-39 would cost me $80.98 at BBTS for the two of them)

Assume that I just want a good-looking face-plated Brainstorm.

Personally I went with TR Brainstorm (from Walgreens) and picked up the Brainstorm Reprolabels kit because I just love all the extra teal highlights it gives him.

 

Sounds like you should scour eBay for the Titan Force Brainstorm. Its blue is a bit different from either version, closer to the T30 blue rather than TR's blue-green (File:TitansReturntoy-BrainstormTitanForce.jpg - Transformers Wiki). Yeah, you're probably right. Besides, I got Titans Return Chromedome, so why shell out $80+ for a Deluxe and a set of 6 Headmasters when all I'll really need is the one head?

...I mean, I kind of don't like the sound of "Loose Figure". It makes me think it'll be mangled and such. Have you ever gotten a loose figure via eBay? How do you know if it'll be protected by the time it comes to you?

Eh, maybe I should just play the safe route and just stick with the Walgreens one.

 

I've gotten tons, they're usually in zip locked baggies and then packed in bubble wrap or packing foam. But yeah, it's a risk you'll be taking. Also, ordering from China there's the risk of KOs, especially when they don't show pictures of the actual product. I personally don't know if Titan Force Brainstorm has been KOed but it would surprise me, to be honest.

Walgreens is definitely the safest and likely the cheapest route.

 

This might be off topic, but I'm trying to hunt for RID Warrior class Thermidor and I can't find him. I have seen him a few times on eBay, but I wasn't able to get him on time.

 

Don't know if this has been covered previously, but why is it that some eBay listings have LG37 Ravage pictured with this black version (Soundblaster colors) of the Soundwave head? I believe they all came packaged with Bullhorn right? Was the black Soundwave head ever produced officially?
