Is this guy not actually up for preorder anywhere? Seems like he should be closing in on release with transformable samples out...

 

Is the lack of a waist swivel (even though it's there) a deal breaker?

 

Well...watched the video...WITCHCRAFT!!!!!

Seriousely this thing is fragging amazing!!! And looks like he'll be about an inch shorter than MPM-04, which is perfect IMO!!!

 

If he came with several I'd probably keep him as part of a display, but as is I'll probably be tossing the dog into a parts bin.

 

You just need to buy a couple more.

I usually only preorder from Toy Dojo and BBTS so of course they are the ones with no preorders. I'll probably just grab one from baba or Netclow when it's available.

Me, too. Again, that Steeljaw is such crap and it eats up plastic and budget that should've gone towards his actual weapons. Especially since those are all it's missing.

It does. It clips over the actual head.

The waist isn't turned in that pic, though.

 

Not the visor, the scope that he used just before deploying his gun face for the first time while hunting ratchet.

 

Hah. I love how the transformation starts out Hasbro, then is all like "Psych!" and goes in a completely different direction that I didn't see coming.
I'm not a big fan of the parts forming with the side view mirrors, but it's forgivable. If there's no waist articulation (I'm saying "if") that's rather disappointing, but if there is, wow. Regardless, I'll buy it either way.
That said, while there are a lot of moving parts, he's not actually difficult to transform, just a lot of steps. Some of them easy as can be and some of the just common sense.

I look at this and think "Okay...Hasbro could've done that... And that... And that... Why didn't they?"

It's moments like this when I have a hard time justifying Hasbro's recent M.O. I realize this has a higher parts count and size, I do, but some of what happens on this figure could've worked on the Deluxe, like the leg transformation.

Darn shame we had to wait 3 years for something like this, but I'm glad it's coming. Better late than never.

If I had another complaint, it would be that the hands are ridiculously tiny. Perhaps they'll look better in hand. The mirrors and the hands, those are my only gripes. (I'll overlook the waist swivel if it comes down to it.) I absolutely love that they hide the entire vehicle mode in that transformation. I was surprised to see how shellformery he is, it kind of reminds me of Leader Class Sentinel Prime from DOTM, but this is a far better design and looks like better build quality. (By leaps and bounds.)

It is nice to see that all of the shell pieces actually do something and don't just sit there as kibble dangling off of the figure. I tip my hat to you, UT. You've made magic happen.

 

Two things that are bullshit with this figure

1. needs more accessories
2. it ain't out yet, man

 

I'm very upset that they neglected his most iconic feature...

His sweet booty cheeks.

 

Um, they're there as a panel butt flap.

 

I want to watch the transformation video so badly but won't, just like an old fashioned gentleman wants to see his wife naked before their wedding night.
