Back in 2010 Hasbro announced the combining Iron Man and War Machine set but then never released it. Here's a gallery of in hand pictures of the unreleased Iron Man figure.

Side note: I'm a little surprised that the Crossovers line hasn't made a comeback.

Crossovers ended in 2011, but Avengers exploded in 2012 and by all accounts Marvel is still doing very well. Plus, Guardians has all kinds of spaceship alt mode possibilities.
Similarly, we've got a new Star Wars trilogy going on plus other side movies and TV projects.

I mean, I know why, they probably didn't sell that great, but I still feel like it's worth another shot.

Agreed, but I think they probably need to scale them with the Generations line and make them deluxes so they fit better with what collectors already own. Also perhaps making them a bit more robotic looking when it comes to the head sculpts perhaps?

I've always thought the Star Wars crossover line would've been much better if the various starship and vehicles just turned into cool robots, not characters from the show. Trying to force a specific visual style into the robot really compromised the transformations.

I\'m glad this never saw the light of day.  As another poster stated, the bot modes were just \"robots in cozplay\", rather than using visual cues from the intended character/original vehicle.  It\'s like if Hasbro made the Batmobile with Batman\'s Dave on the front and called it a day.

The engineering and choice of alt modes was rather silly, too, plus the lack of actual Transformers characters resulted in no actual \"crossover\" taking place.

All in all a wasted opportunity.

I actually liked a lot of the crossovers, though I never got an iron man. Hummer captain America, tank hulk, and A10 warthogs (also know as the thunderbolt II) Thor are pretty cool on my display.

Licensing costs probably went up because of the Avengers' popularity, and Hasbro likely didn't see any profit from making a new Crossovers line.

A shame, since they'd be wicked improved this time around.

I have those three too! They aren't perfect, but they're pretty neat I think.

Since Ironman had several transforming figures, I settled on the version that turned into a jet to complete my transforming Avengers lineup.. I felt a jet was the best alt-mode for Ironman, as flying is a big part of his toolkit. It also balances out the display with two ground and 2 flying vehicles.

This was one of the ones I really wanted too!
This one and the Ironman/War Machine vehicle combiner were big ones on my want list.
Kind of surprised they haven't found a way to re-release them during movie lines somehow. The Spidey and Ironman vehicle combiner would have been cool during Spider-man homecoming.

And this bike Ironman has tons of potential as an Afterburner retool. Still would love to see a Doctor Doom and Ultron rendition of these done too. A sentinel would be cool on market right now too. And the licensing costs shouldn't be that much of a factor with hasbro having the master toy license for Marvel.

Absolutely loved the concept of the hulkbuster Hulk tanks too. Always meant to pick a few up. These still have tons of potential if they want to revisit some of the molds and remold a few heads. The Venom one was freaking phenomenal too. It was so 'what if a symbiote infected Downshift/Big Daddy' and by today's Marvel line up, that car mode would make a freaking epic Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider.

Still kind of a shame they never got to do the helicarrier with Nick Fury and whoever else. And would have loved a quinjet one. And heck yeah GOTG ship ones would be freaking awesome right now for the cross universe appeal of Transformers hiding in plain sight in the galactic empires.

Crossovers was a neat idea, but so weirdly executed. I always thought that it should have been actual Transformers characters turning into Star Wars vehicles... instead of the Star Wars characters piloting grotesque oversized robotic versions of themselves.

A Tie Bomber Megatron would have been pretty cool (even the colour scheme would have worked!), flanked by some Interceptor seekers. A lot cooler than what we got, anyway.

I remember when these figures were first teased... I was actually really disappointed when they weren't released. The Marvel Crossovers line provided a lot of good fodder for customizers, and this War Machine / Iron Trike combo had some cool potential.

The major misstep for Crossovers was definitely the decision to make the vehicles actually transform into robot versions of the characters, which is kind of stupid (did anybody ever ask for a giant combining Chewie and Han?). That approach limited their appeal considerably... to the purely kitchy.

Generally speaking, I think the Marvel TFs were a lot nicer than the Star Wars ones, at least in terms of conveying a sense of Transformers aesthetics. The SWTF Crossovers were quite good at capturing the iconic Star Wars ships and vehicles though...

They really did miss the boat, didn't they... killing off this line just as the MCU really revved up.
