It's a good thing I don't really have any other service at the moment. Otherwise, I'd be more ticked at that.
Teen Titans GO: The Movie... aka "Hollywood can't think of one original thing to save their lives: The Movie" ...aka "You thought the Emoji Movie was bad!? :The Movie" ...aka "We'll make any piece of garbage with a hint of popularity into a feature film now: The Movie"
List of movies the TTG movie will be better than: Batman v Superman Suicide Squad Man of Steel Watchmen Justice League
Waffles! Waffles Waffles Waffles. Waffles... I LIKE the show (for some reason the humor is right up my alley), but I have to agree with this. A full-length movie is overkill. It's a lot more entertaining in bite-size portions.
It's like Minions, I guess. Small, short and simple jokes are fine, but the style of comedy is too simple to build an entire feature-length film around, and gags can easily become grating and annoying when drawn out too long (or were annoying to begin with (imo), like the Waffles gag). They simply can't carry their own film.
...aka "this show is popular with children, the demographic it was made for, so lets make a movie adaptation to make more money because that's how businesses work". I get that people don't like the show (I'm not big on it either, no matter how much like the art director's artwork outside of the show), but like, consider that it wasn't even made with you folk in mind. There's a reason they poke fun at older fans that grew up with the 2000's Teen Titans like we did; they're well aware of the backlash and Cartoon Network and Warner don't really care as long as this show's making money for them, especially from the demo it was made for. People get a little too worked up over cartoons these days. :U
Guys. Guys. Guys. Lets put hate where hates deserved and say both deserve lobotomies for making this kiddy bubblegum crap way more popular than it should ever have been. Seriously though I try to be rational about this show but I see this, all the good CN shows failing or ending, and how many reboots have been obnoxiously kidified because of its undeserved success and can't help but feel the hatred (as petty as it is) has actual bearing. I mean why is this one peace of crap getting so much power.
This is everyone's punishment for praising the old "good" Teen Titans show after it killed off the DCAU Yeah, yeah, personal preference and all that. But everything people hate about TT:G is pretty much the exact same stuff I couldn't stand about the old TT series but in concentrated form. So I'm strangely enjoying this.
I mean I love that this show is getting a movie, if only because of how much people hate it, and how much the writers are aware of/incorporate that into various episodes. That being said, I don't think a film is warranted by any stretch. They could totally knock it out of the park though.
TeamFourStar working on it for one. And before anybody asks, yes. It would be full to the brim with DBZA Mashups & Spawning a number of Internet memes. Where you will have KaiserNeko, Takahata101 & Lanipator voicing a few DC Characters outside of the JLA's Cameo in DBZA.
