Just like the title states, which one should I buy, Striker Noir or Thunder Erebus?

I can only justify getting one or the other. I love the articulation of both figures, which is usually the deciding factor for me when I appreciate the aesthetics of both choices so closely.

Since both figures look so great, the big selling point for Striker Noir is the additional weapons and he looks pretty evil. While the biggest appeal of Thunder Erebus would be the trailer/armor/minibot interaction.

    Thanks for the input!

I read your thoughts but once you get one of them in hand, you will be blown away and buy the other one.

Pretty much this. I'm selling mine so I can focus on other lines and I'm super sad about it. I'm at least keeping Manus for my Prime shelf but I'm not going to be buying Erebus... And it is crushing my soul :(

It depends: How do you want to display him, and what do you want to display him with?

If you're going to be posing him against Leader class figures, go Thunder Erebus

If you are more aiming for a Voyager class centerpiece, go with Striker Noir.

You can't really lose either way.

I think this is a super difficult choice if you have to do one or the other.

Currently I'm so excited about thunder erabus that I want to say get "get him, he looks amazing!"

But striker noir is so good, easily one of my favorite figures and I cannot imagine not recommending him. I have striker manus as well and have yet to experience mold fatigue, I feel like both versions are practically necessary

I have had to make some serious cuts this year with collecting and missed pretty much every single release this year and watched from the sidelines ..however I busted my ass to get noir when he came out and I'll eat ramen for a week if I need to so I can get thunder .. both of these releases are worth picking up and honestly they both have their merits and shortcomings but no matter which one you get you will love the figure .. which is why you're going to be stoked when you get both

Get Noir (first). He'll be harder to track down later, I think. Plus, the weapons kit is awesome.

Thanks for all of the input folks! At the moment I am leaning towards the poll results and Striker Noir is looking better and better to me.

But now a third contender has entered the race. My friend has offered to sell me his PE Warden at a price. It too far off from these two. I have had my eye on this figure for quite some time but never pulled the trigger.

Does this late arrival to the competition compare to the first two options? Does it change anyone's opinion on which I should get?

Once again, thanks for your consideration

PE figures are more fragile, but have a level of polish and attention to detail you don't see in other 3P figures. I have their Origin Leonidas and he just stands out from the rest of my bots. Even my husband was like "wow that looks expensive!"

If you want an amazing display piece, get the PE bot. If you want something you can play with more, get the MT CD bot.

The real question that you need to answer is how much you like teal!

In my opinion Striker offers a more solid action figure play patter whereas Erebus has more options in terms of play pattern. Especially if MT releases a God Bomber add-on set.

I think Warden is a great item if you have him as a standalone figure since he is so unique in execution and style.

    I agree 100% with OstOgBajer.

Thunder Erebus is really more of a "chase figure" in my opinion. He's a recolor with the justification of some one off Nucleon Quest thing that happened in the twilight years of G1. If you have to get a black repaint, you can't go wrong with Striker Noir, as his mold mate Stiker Manus is pretty much aces for transforming and posing. As a result, I'd get Striker over Thunder Erebus.

My wife bought me PE Warden at our first Botcon. It's a gorgeous figure. I would never give it away or sell it by choice for both sentimental and display reasons.

BUT, like most PE figures it suffers from parts leprosy - the slightest movement can (and usually will) result in something falling off. Transforming him is an exercise in Extreme Partsforming, which doesn't bug me as much, but it really annoys a lot of people. The two biggest flaws of PE Warden to me is that his altmode is kind of ambiguous and doesn't look like anything save a giant mess of equipment with a cannon on it, and that he doesn't feel right to me without his leg extender upgrades. He poses quite well with good articulation, but you'll be fiddling with his endless accessories for several minutes after the fact.

Alright tfw'ers, I think this poll has run its course. I'm very appreciative for all of the feedback and opinions regarding my inquiry.

It definitely looks like these are both great figures and I may very well end up buying them all (including PE Warden) in due time. If I'm lucky enough to find them at decent prices in th future.

As of right now, it looks like Striker Noir is the one for me.

Yes! Striker Noir has been hands-down my favorite purchase of the year. It's really just that damn good.

Striker noir just has that super fast powerful feel about him, he's very anime-esque. I like Thunder Erebus, he's got that whole Prime look going for him. I'm planning on having Striker noir and roiter despotron as my 1st two 3p figures.

Good choices, but you may find that future 3P stuff just doesn't measure up.

Which is no downside, since I don't see them being dethroned until toy tech leaves them behind entirely.
