I have to disagree... in fact, when I was thinking of shows that had poorer animation, Smurfs was foremost in my mind, and GIJOE was of similar quality (same company? I forget now). DIC and whoever it was who was doing Thundercats and Silverhawks had pretty strong animation as well.

Naturally most animated shows didn't have a consistent level of animation or quality. You'll no doubt find episodes of some series that will outdo episodes of Transformers, so there will always be exceptions. Early Smurfs had very good writing, but that dwindled with successive seasons. GIJOE I remember having a pretty similar arc to Transformers... some strong animation in the early throes, but crashing later (season 3 of TF was generally awful).

I don't mean to say that TF was consistently and significantly better, but it was in the upper half for sure, and certainly not below par for the time.

To the people that are whining about the little girl Sari taking away from the TF's screen time on the show, this one clip of TF:A alone has more dialog time for the Autobots than the entire Bay movie did.

With the kind of money this movie has made world wide, I'm sure next movie we will get far more scenes with the Autobots and Decepticons than we will with the humans. Next movie will more than likely be about the Decepticons expanding the war and be a typical 2nd movie with a shock ending that makes you want to see the 3rd movie, but have the most plot development of all 3 movies.

Well, it looks like a fun show, but I really wanted to see Prime handled differently. I always wanted a series where Prime is revered but hardly there. I wanted a series where it follows a band of Autobots lead by a newcomer, and Prime is so far up in the ranks that he is dealing with other things and you only see him on occasion to save the day every now and again. Oh well, it looks good just the same.

I finally watched the whole thing today. First time I tried to watch it, all the background noise drowning out the dialog was pissing me off; when the dude in the hat on his cell phone walked in front of the camera, I said "screw this" and gave up. Glad I decided to give it another go, because now I'm even more excited about this series.

I was trying to get the same analogy in my previous post in this thread, but when I got to Bulkhead I stopped 'cause I realised (sp?) he's the "odd man out". But I agree with you ... in this clip this Autobots team has the same dynamic as the Axalon crew and that gives much hope for the new cartoon.

That would be awesome... I'd love to see a series like that (also in that whenever OP did appear in such a series, it would be like "Whoa! Awesome!" rather than "Ho Hum, Prime again")!

However, it'll probably never happen, considering how popular Prime is as part of the mythos, both here and in Japan. Considering how many different versions of Prime we get in each line, I figure Hasbro is too chicken to try banking on a different character. :(

There's always animated season 2, if this prime gets promoted. xD And unless hasbro plans on forcing us to buy a new prime with each renewed season if it gets renewed, they'll have to bank on a new character finally.

    Prime's my favorite character. I'm Prime-obsessed.

That said: that's one of the coolest ideas I've ever heard!! :thumb

Can anyone tell what comes after More than they appear in the Transformers: Animated theme song? It kinda sounds like Justice Spokes and Gears or Justice invokes fear...
