Recently the Toys"R"Us exclusive Mission to Cybertron Optimus Prime 2-pack was found in Germany. Now the UK gets the massively overpriced Planet Cybertron figure (redeco of Transformers: Cybertron Primus).

Found by TFW2005 members rodney2000000 and Galva Prime.

Haha, no wonder there have been reports of TRU getting into difficulties. Toys are your thing guys, at least develop a little bit of market knowledge.

That price is insane. I only got mine when TRU had that 'buy one, get one 40% off' sale a few months back, which I bought with TR Trypticon.

Wow, and it was originally from Armada or Energon line wasn't it? I know inflation and cost of production has gone up since then, but jeez Louise.

I like the new deco, and would get it even though I have the original.... but not for the whopping NT$6999 ToysRus is asking for it! It'd have to be marked down to about NT$1700 before I'd bite -- which is never gonna happen.
    (NT$6999 = CAD$284; US$233; UK£171)

I'm dying to get this figure but not at that insane price. What's worse than scalpers? When regular retail stores become the scalpers. Somebody at TRU has been spending a little too much time on ebay looking at all those stupid high BUY IT NOW's.

Well, with this and Trypticon we can anticipate a 50% off sale soon.

Yeah I saw this thing from a distance at my TRU, thought " Oh Wow Neat a Big TF I didn't even know was coming!" I was just gonna buy it... on the way up to the checkout I started thinking wait a minute if this is supposed to be the whole damn planet isn't it a little under scaled? .I mean this is going to look silly hitting my Fort Max at about the Thigh..... yeah but if the price is even reasonable I will just go ahead and get it cause.. hey big ole bot and I liked the colors.... then I price checked it at one of those end of the aisle scanners and just left it right there under the scanner LOLing all the way out of the store.

I don't usually go in for the socio- bigoted cliché of " Hurk durk what are they smoking"... cause hey, its medicine and always has been but I digress.... they must be smoking industrial grade cat shit to think Imma pay them $160 bucks for that thing. Its a beefy Leader class at best in a nice box.

To put this in perspective, I paid £80 for my MISB Cybertron Primus a couple of years ago which is a much superior style and once they were long out of production. They were £70 new when launched if I recall and even re-based to today's prices it is £95.90 so well below £150.

There are tons of TLK Voyager Primes on Ebay for $50. Not customized figures, just the plain overpriced figure that is clogging every retailer's shelf.

The worst part about the $150 pricing fiasco is that the new Cybertron is molded with the downgraded garbage plastic Hasbro has been using for the past six years. I bought an original Cybertron at an auction for $28. It really is amazing to feel the difference between old toys and the new ones. When you hold Ultra Class Powerglide in one hand and T30 Leader Jetfire in the other, you almost want to cry.

    Transformers Prime Primus mold?

Um, should say Transformers Cybertron Primus mold.  Prime had the asteroid/mountain Unicron.
