I probably make it worse than it sounds. The paint on areas of friction with these guys is absolutely nothing new (I did say in my initial post) and has cropped up in fair criticism of Iron Factory, but this is the first time it's properly had me straight into the first transformation.

I have Lord Scorpion - hell the only IF I'm missing are the red Sonictech and clear Windblade - so I know what I'm doing with the figure in case people think I'm being heavy handed. The paint on the feet creates friction in a couple of areas you don't get on the first tooling. That paint is also used on the joints. On this toy it's a very similar paint to the stuff Takara used on their United and Animated lines so if you're familiar with those toys and their foibles you'll know where I'm coming from. I see a few similar dinks on my Starwing (Tyrant Red) and that's the same kind of candy red they used in places here.

None of this is stopping me enjoying him, I have just had to be more considered with things.
