I'm running on a normal ps4 and have encountered a few errors but I don't think they're related or like the Pro errors. With Destiny 2 being a major title for Sony I'm sure they are working hard to get it patched as quickly as possible.
PS4 Pro here playing at 1080p, no issues at all after about five hours of gameplay. It seems to be more of a hardware issue than a game issue at this point, since not all Pros are being affected by this bug.
Very true. I know the game has only barely gone live, but it seems like there would be more communication from Bungie and/or Sony about a problem as big as not being able to play the game at all, especially since I've now read that the problem (or a similar one) was present during Beta as well. Thanks for the input! It's nice to know that there are Pro users who aren't having the problem. I haven't had any complaints with my system, other than a loud fan during parts of Nier Automata and Horizon. If it is a hardware issue, hopefully my lack of problems means I'll avoid the issue.
Only issue I've had was dropping a beacon off at a certain point and it wouldn't register I was there. I backtracked to the last zone, turned around, and it worked fine. Called Microsoft. Have to wait at least one more day before they'll contact me to get my account back. Enjoying my time on playstation, but damnit, most of my friends are on Xbox. I am so pissed off about this.
Been running on a Pro and have played an obscene amount of D2 with no issues so far. Also a little FYI Blue Engrams decrypt up to 260, Purple Engrams up to 265, and Powerful/Exotics go beyond that.
Never knew pvp games didnt log stats in game. I guess it makes people enjoy game more than worry about stats
Yeah I think that's the main reason Destiny doesn't. I don't worry about my stats either, I'm bad, I accept that haha. The only reason I ever saw mine was because I liked using destinytracker's Grimore tracker over Bungie's. As for D2 with 6 hours in I am thoroughly enjoying it though I think it's a little to easy as I've only died 5 times and only due to bad jump physics.
Im annoyed at the fact you cant get your preorder bomuses until you hit level 20 and complete the story line.
So much fun! I was up.past midnight on a work night cause I couldn't stop I was having so much fun. There was finally a bit of story and it draws you in. Loving this so far and I'm only on titan
Gave in and tried last night. So far so good! No Pro crashes/issues during my first 2 hours of play *knock on wood* I enjoyed the first Destiny, but had forgotten just how satisfying the game play is. I'm now sitting at work, thinking about how badly I want to get back to playing
^ this it seemed so effortless to play it while not being boring. It was all so smooth, but just challenging enough that it felt like you could lose. Only thing I dont like and it may just be due to how different it is, the subclass skill tree thing is weird....and I miss my melee, feel like you got that a lot sooner in D1. Sentinal is fun and the duration of the super is great. Look forward to the top teir weapons coming into play.
Almost light level 260 and managed to clear the Nightfall today. (Exotic spoiler) Spoiler Celestial Nighthawk + precision + solar burn does such a nice chunk of damage. Carrying on with all the quests and adventures, good stuff. Loot drops are so common, had an exotic engram drop day 2. Done a few other quests for exotics and got some new exotic hunter boots. Really liking the Survival mode in crucible as well, though some maps are oddly large for 4v4.
I picked up the White PS4 Pro and Frontier Edition of the game and get about a full system crash once a day since release.
Thanks. So this game becomes unplayable once it goes offline and that is likely to happen sooner than later. I'm third of the way thru Witcher, maybe two thirds Dragon Age, and haver Overwatch on its way (and just renewed my sub and reinstalled Battlefield one). Barely started Destiny. Wondering if I should give this another go... Oh yeah, eyeing up Battlefront 2, and have the SNES classic prepaid, so there's a lot of playtime in all those...
What is the way you guys deal with guns and armor, which one do u keep and which do u dismantle or infuse?
So I am curious of the game, My Fiance and I played when the first came out but stopped after the second expansion, I'm probably gonna be lone wolfing this one and while I don't mind playing with people just curious how much can be done in the game before I have to get people. I'm not sure if my friends are playing or not but I enjoyed what I did play so just wondering if its worth it for a guy who is gonna be doing most of it by himself or with random people to help me.
It really depends on play style as to what you keep vs scrap. For weapons I'm keeping any and all Legendary's I get for now. I'll run them for a while and see if I like them. I'm really liking The Old Fashioned and Call to Serve for Kinetic and the Nergal (may not be spelled right) Pulse for Energy. I don't have a clear cut awesome Power yet still running rares. For Armor I'm infusing the pieces that have useful mods already on them, I also favor Armor and recovery stats over speed, being a Hunter it's really needed. If you had fun playing Destiny 1 then I think you'll really like Destiny 2. Comparing vanilla to vanilla there's a lot more content in D2. The game's story, and adventures are soloable (I've been playing solo without to much trouble). The only things I now of that need fireteams are Strikes, Nightfall's Raids, and Trials. But they are implementing a guided games feature to help solo players enjoy those parts of the game. That should be up a running within the next week or so I think.
