So you're buying a product you hate because it's Beast Wars. Meaning all your ranting is empty because at the end of the day you're gonna buy it anyway.

And you're calling *me* the fanboy.

So wait. You're bitching out Hasbro for this Optimal, but you're gonna buy Takara's anyway. When it's the same design team and figure.

And again, you're calling *me* the fanboy?

Okay, seriously kid. Give Primal Sabbath his phone back.

    Rippersnapper looks excellent. :thumb

    Hun-grrr = utter garbage! :banghead:

    Let's criticize a little?

The legs/neck of the beast look scrawny as heck. And speaking of legs, the actual legs of the beast mode look awful, too. The head sculpt is clearly not ready, which is amazingly disappointing when you consider that this toy is based on a PRE-EXISTING TOY. As in, they don't need to design so much as re-do/work-from-previous-models! :banghead:

Ehhhh.... I love Rippersnapper, but Hun-grrr makes me feel like gestalt mode will be an utter mess.

Haha you're being ridiculous. A few cuss words and I'm "throwing a tantrum." Not throwing a tantrum. Maybe you took what I said to heart. Sorry. If you like it good for you. I think it's hot garbage. The smaller Primal to specify.

only complaint i have with the primal figure is it does not have the all-terrain land vehicle mode. but with all else it is doing i am fine with it's omission it was the weakest mode form the original

I just now realized that Optimus Primal turns into the hoverboard for Optimal Optimus. If the colors are good, then I might get this. But this also means that any person's dreams of getting a new decent Optimus Primal figure have went straight down the tubes, as far as I can tell. I'm not really a BW fan, but I wouldn't have minded a decent CHUG-styled Optimus Primal. But again, let's see what the figure looks like with his colors.

@Primal Sabbath I can understand your concerns mate, and I don't think the coloured pics will ease them. The Deluxe Primal portion will be a black, blocky gorilla with a giant orange cockpit strapped to his back. It's less than ideal, and he potentially won't fit the fantastic aesthetic we got with Rattrap, Rhinox and Waspy a couple of years ago.

I'm excited about picking him up because of the how much he seems to be able to do. Do I hope we get non-gimmick-ridden versions of Beast Wars characters in the future? Absolutely. But this figure could well be very fun to play with in the interim.

did a quick look, yeah it looks similar, but i dont think its any shared parts or any kind of retooling, just a similar design approach in the feet and arms

I honestly think that this has the gorilla modes for both and we just haven't seen the smaller one, I mean Hasbro's done some bone headed things in the past, but them killing one of Primal's most iconic aspects is a little ridiculous, I think they just forgot to photgraph it, or it's not ready to be photographed yet.

Dude, it's nothing to be ashamed of. My 9 month old has accidentally posted stuff to my accounts before.

It's a valuable learning experience for both you and whatever sticky fingered scamp you're trying to wrestle the keyboard from.

    Good night and good luck.

Interesting, see I'd still consider that a retool since they are built around something, even as a skeleton. Because I feel like they were built around doing the same basic thing. And I compare Hungrr as such, because even with different parts, he still has the same pin locations and functions mostly the same way.

Going by your definition, what do you consider the line so to say? Like what's the figure you would say is the closest to a retool in your eyes, but isn't?

Maybe it's just because I grew up with UT, but I don't see why every new figure in Generatiosn has to be the definitive version of that character. For someone who never got a decent toy I get it, but it's Optimal Optimus. The original is still just as good, and there's two 3P versions if you really must have it. This is a gimmicky mainline figure with a quirky homage.
