Also, once again - 3P beats hastak to the punch with the optimal optimus. I really wonder if hastak waits for 3ps to hash out designs now beofre tackling figures. It really seems that way based on the timing of 3p and official releases with the latter always lagging behind

 

i find it very funny that primal's deluxe figure basically turns into a hover truck

thus reigniting the "trukk not munkky" debate but in reverse

 

i still don't understand this argument, Primal and Optimus Prime are two VERY different characters from the same universe.

 

That Primal toy looks very ambitious, I hope they can pull it off but I suspect the concept alone will make it very divisive.

I'm interested in all these figures, and that accompanying art for Rippersnapper is absolutely gorgeous. PotP continuing in the impressive vein of Titans Return. good to see.

 

When I was starting Transformers, I discovered Optimus Primal before Optimus Prime.

Whaatttt. I know everyone has a right too opinion, but what did you really expect? Heck we've only seen grey model, we haven't even seen Starscreams combined mode yet and we saw the full toy. Relax young padawans

 

But it's an unfair criticism based on something not being photographed, for all we know the backpack pops right off and he turns into the perfect Gorilla for his size.

 

So the bigger reveals were at the DINNER?

In other words, "Pay us good money, or you don't get to see squat!"?  

Can anyone else even see this, at the con? Only the Dinner customers?
I can definitely understand the disappointment in the reveals, considering so few of us expected to have to pay for a fancy dinner to see the better reveals...

EDIT: Let me add this is supposed to be a family-friendly affair, so how does forcing families to attend this dinner to see these reveals... make any sense? If I had my family there, I wouldn't find it so easy to purchase and attend this extra event.  

Also, am I the only one disappointed with SLIDES? They have so many cases of test figures, and none of them are the Dinobots or Terrorcons? Or the new Optimus Primal?   I think TFCon has more exciting reveals. And I don't have to buy a steak dinner to see them.

 

"Made fun" is a great way to describe burning through at least half the 7 words you can't say on TV. You're acting like a child and can't stand being called on it.

I mean, maybe it's my fault and Primal Sabbath forgot to log of some computer in a kindergarten library or something. Does anyone who knows him want to call up and make sure he knows his account is compromised?

 

Someone was mentiong Hun-Grr\'s \"Tarn cosplay\". Looking at it, I\'m reasonably sure that\'s a placeholder because his headsculpt isn\'t ready yet (even though the rest of his body is ...)

 

Moonracer and Rippersnapper are the best looking figures they've shown so far.

Hun-garr looks either transformed or disappointing while still the only Voyager class figure that I may buy in this line so far.

..........The Monkey isn't important to me in any way, shape or form.

 

I'm pretty sure they use them to see if there's a market for something before releasing it, otherwise they could sue them into oblivion.

 

I don't understand why they would want to homage Optimal Optimus anyway. That's a POS figure that has basically one mode.

• The arms become slightly different arms
• The legs become the same legs
• His back turns into his chest
• And then for his 3rd and 4th "modes", he lays down and either holds his arms straight forward or pushes them together.

 

I just mean that people are always upset that they turned Optimus Prime into an ape, but they DIDN'T though... Beast Wars itself went out of its way to establish that he ISN'T Optimus Prime, hes a separate character entirely.

If they show us a gorilla mode for the inner robot, then by all means I'll retract everything I've said so far.

At the end of the day it's really just our opinions on how things look. Whether we choose to buy them or not, is our call.

After taking a closer look at the images, I realized that Primal actually becomes the chest / head / gun component to Optimal Optimus, as well as the backpack with guns while he's in beast mode. I guess the cargo ship / surfboard option is just there to try and make another optional transmetal 1 type mode.

 

Yet this will inevitably sell more units and make it onto more shelves because it's more affordable, more accessible, and the robot mode is more accurate.

You say that like there's a difference.

If both companies had a hand in making something, they both eventually recieve money from it. You're still feeding into Hasbro's bank account regardless.

 

I thought I was done with tf collecting but those terrorcons might just pull me back in.
