Sweet, now I just have to wait for them to restock these somewhere in the future. Lack of funds meant I had to drop either PC-16 or PC-17; Ultra Magnus just doesn't get enough love so I went with him for now.

 

fun fact the ginrai neck ball is the same size as the Titan masters. so you can a titan master head on him but the pm prime head looks a little too small.

 

The ball socket for Titan master is slightly smaller , you have to shave ginrai's ball joint a little. Sure you can loosen the Titan master screw to force it in , but I wouldn't recommend it . Also big neck

 

huh didn't notice as I took the faceplate off to put it on the ball joint, But yes the neck looks way to big for it. lol

 

I am a pretty big fan of this guy. It's not quite what you expect from Perfect Effect but it's so much fun to play with and makes for a great stand alone Prime figure if you don't want to combine it. I've written a review (link in my sig if anyone is interested) and all I could think of is how I am not going to bother displaying him as Super Ginrai because it would be such a waste of a great, fun figure. Here's some pics anyway  

 

Looks fantastic! He really needs his G1 Powermaster rifles to finish it off, though. Those monstrous cannons are his trademark. The new ones are alright, but a little thin.

If you had a Powermaster Prime when you were a kid like I did these 2 sets are a dream come true. I can't recommend them enough.

I'm sure this set would make Ginrai just short of a Masterpiece.

So as soon as I can locate a set that's not inflated in price...

 

You know, I never thought to give him the spare set of G1 Powermaster rifles I have until you just mentioned it. Will try that later  

 

Yep, I just can't get myself to combine him after the first time. It's one of those figures I feel the need to pick up and pose on a daily basis. I think PE could keep cranking these out and selling them for quite a while. They could even sell a cheaper version without the parts for Super Ginrai. I'd buy another just to keep as 'back up'.

 

To those that own him, is PC-16 Jinrai Prime as cross-eyed in person as he looks in pics?

His eyes are set so far back in his head that I think pictures make him look that way.

Not that it's a show stopper or anything. Just curious.

 

Even though he's such a fantastic, fun looking figure on his own, I'm still going to combine mine once I (hopefully) get him. Just knowing he's in there is enough for me.

Now the getting him part is the problem. I got him ordered, the seller shipped (from Wisconsin) but the package ended up in the wrong USPS bin and was sent to Sacramento, California rather than to me in Maryland.

 

It is as you've said . The eyes are indeed a minor setback to the otherwise wonderful figure both in hand and in photos

 

Yep, that's perfect.

 

Tip: Store the spare hands in the chest when in combined mode, and the in the hollow parts of the legs when in robot mode. no idea though for truck mode

Absolutely loving this add on kit and figure. Cannot wait to get my hands on a Godbomber and the eventual last upgrade kit.
