That van is WAY too modern to be in this movie unless time travel is involved.

I love that Bee is just an old & understated stock Beetle instead of an excessively modified car. Unlike Bay, looks like Travis Knight understood what it means to be a Robot IN Disguise.

The late-model Ford Transit doesn't fit with the 80's theme and with what looks like a generator mounted on the front, I'm guessing it's something of a mobile monitoring station that's connected to the Mercedes camera car. There's probably expensive equipment in that van.

Even if we did we wouldn't admit it!

You signed up a new account just to say that? Sit down mate, obviously it's a joke.

My first thought also, but the van does look to be more modern, as in, not from 1987. The headlights look too current.

I'm agreeing with fathi_haziq and G1DeadEnd. Way too modern to be in the 1980s setting. And yes, it looks like a tech car with equipment.

I'm giving a huge 'No, no' to timetravel. Time travelling as a plot convenience is a massive weakness in any media. Time travelling only works properly IF the entire concept of the franchise is all about time travelling such as Doctor Who, Back To The Future, or Time Traveler's Wife.
    J. K. Rowling the author of Harry Potter once said Time Traveling is an interesting concept to work on but it turned out to be a very weak concept as if the writers do not have a way to resolve the story properly. As a retribution, she purposefully destroyed all the time turners on the fifth book. You can see how weak time travelling is as a plot convenience if you read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (which many believe as non-canon for the HP franchise).
