if you had a choice what would you rather have

the next animated series in its current teen titans guise?

or the next animated series in the style of classics?

Just the way it is, in all it's awesomeness.

Or should I say...Just the way it will be? I wouldn't have been averse to a Classics show, really, but Animated just looks cooler.

Whatever will keep the franchise healthy. It's important for the kiddies to be into it so if they think the current style is the way to do that then great.

I sure I won't be watching the show so I'm not too worried.

Personally, in it's current form. Classics does good enough withought depending on a show. Plus, this is something I can watch with my young cousins.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Animated will get a lot of kids and new fans into the Transformers series. If Animated does really well, then it'll be renewed for another season and continue to build on its success.

Couldn't say without having seen it first. I however do like the style they're using for Animated. So no complaints from me. It might be too much of a retread if they did it in Classics style anyway. This way, at least it's different.

'Classics' isn't really an animation style though, is it? It's a line of toys.

If there was a series based on classics, it could be any number of animation styles, including the 'Teen Titans' style being used for Animated.

If the question is which storyline would be preferred, one based on the classics figures or the new one being invented for Animated, well, either one would do me, I don't see there being much difference.

If the question is indeed about animation style, then what style are people thinking of when they say 'Classics style'?

Classics would have been way too much of a G1 rehash for me. Animated has plenty of the homages that us older fans have liked in recent lines, but a new look and feel for the kiddies. I'm sure Animated will do just fine.

Anything BUT Teen Titans, that show was horrendous. I would rather see Studio Gonzo have another go at it, but with input from American writers.

Anything but Cartoon Network. This style is old & overused! It might have been cool back in the early 90's when Batman The Animated Series came out but now it's LAME. Just look at their chins! Just look at the friggin chins!!!! Little kids even think they look weird. I hope & pray that they NEVER use this style again. I'd like to continue to be a Transformers fan but if this continues I'm out! I'll enjoy the movies & that's about it.

I can't even display these new toys next to my old ones. The new Starscream toy looks awesome until you see his face. Uuugh! :mad

A classics story line would have to be a retelling of the original GEN1 Story right?

While I would love to see it updated, I would rather a new idea to come out.

Seeing as I *hate* the Teen Titans/DCAU style when it's used on Robots (note: it's a personal preference to me that a robot should look more robotic as opposed to the 'guy-in-a-suit' look from the TT/DCAU stuff) I would much rather have a Classics type design with the fluid animation of, well, Animated. I'm sure the story, animation, VAing, and all that other stuff will be great, but the designs will *always* bug me. If it were Classics style designs this would have been perfect to me, but the over-stylized, over-exagerated looks of the Animated bots just doesn't suit my tastes.

Now I loved TT and I LOVED the DCAU stuff, and still do as I look forward to the DCAU straight-to-DVD releases that are coming up, but they *never* designed a robot I liked.

And I'm gonna be super picky about the toys too, so far just Starscream, Slag, Blitzwing, BA and Bulkhead have really gotten my attention.

I'd like to have both actually. Have Animated on CN for the kids, and then have a Classics series on Spike for teens/adult collectors.

Not that I hhave heard a rumor or anything like that, but that may be possible.
    Or something like that.

Think of all the recent direct to DVD animation releases.

Couldn't Hasbro jump on that bandwagon and start making direct to DVD animation for the fans?
Think about a Classics or War Within DVD movie!
