People have pointed out that the eye color and eyehole shapes match Baby, but there's some weathering around her eyes. Perhaps this will be what was left after we took that chip thing out of her?

Sounds strange, but play it for yourself and see what I mean. The game is definitely not what it seems.

Jeremy Fitzgerald and Fritz Smith (FNAF 2) may have been pseudonyms used by the same person, possibly Michael Afton. The names actually belong to two of William's victims. Two of the other children's names were Gabriel and Susie, but the fifth and sixth are left unknown.

The Puppet was somebody's (Cassette Guy) daughter, and is implied to have been the child killed outside the diner in one of the minigames. Cassette Guy might be a game version of Henry, William's business partner from the book.

Baby's real name is Elizabeth Afton.

Also, after this game, I can't help but feel that Fazbear Fright burning down was definitely the result of arson.

Care to give a complete rundown of FNAF6s story?

Michael might be the player character here--it isn't really stated, but both Baby and Ennard/Molten Freddy recognize the player.

At some point, Ennard apparently kicked baby out, leaving Funtime Freddy in charge of the mess. He's even wearing a cobbled together, melted looking "costume" to make himself look more like Freddy. Baby salvaged herself and put together a new, horrifying body. William/Springtrap survived the burning of Fazbear's Fright and put himself back together with parts of old animatronics, possibly including Golden Freddy.

Cassette Guy, possibly Henry, set a trap for the animatronics with a fake Pizzeria (hence "Pizzeria Simulator"--the whole thing is a simulation. He hired a volunteer, possibly Michael, to run this fake pizzeria and gather the remaining animatronics in one place. Cassette Guy's plan, of course, is to gather them together and destroy them once and for all, setting the place on fire. The part that leaves the player's identity ambiguous is that, besides Baby and Molten Freddy recognizing him, he chooses to stay at the burning pizzeria along with Cassette Guy. This would only make sense if he was Michael Afton, making good on his promise to find his father. So as of the end of the game, everyone who was involved in the tragedy, the entire Afton family, Ennard, the Puppet, and whoever Cassette Guy was, all die in the fire and finally put an end to the horror.

The Puppet was captured inside a Freddy lookalike named Lefty, designed by Cassette Guy for the purpose of capturing her so that he, in the only way he could, finally save his daughter.

With the reveal of the Children's names at the end, it's possible that Jeremy and Fritz, the guards from FNAF2, were the same person under different pseudonyms. In this case, it might have been Michael, though who knows what he was doing at the time, or why he was stealing the names of his father's victims. This might make him the protagonist of the franchise as a whole, if he was also Mike Schmidt (who might just be a random security guard who had no idea what was going on).

Wait so is Michael or William Springtrap?

Are we the only FNAF fans left this things been out almost a month and we got significant plot developments yet no one seems that interested?

Scott explained that William is Springtrap. The true ending of SL confused a lot of people due to Michael's odd resonating voice being played over the ruins of Fazbear Fright, so Scott confirmed Springtrap's identity as William. The credits for this even list him as William Afton instead of Springtrap, and his voice sounds different from Michael's (having a guttural growl instead of Michael's raspy cough).

I don't know. It might just be how Scott released this so quietly. Also, franchise fatigue (because I've seen a fair number of people express being tired Freddy, which I don't blame them for).

 

Honestly, the only reason why I haven't been talking about Five Nights at Freddy's is because I am woefully behind, having not yet read The Twisted Ones and being too low on data to have watched Mark's latest go around.

 

I know Mark, Mattpat, Dawko and the rest of the gang were eating it up (myself included) The biggest questions the game has right now is how some of these minigames tie into the narrative. Popular speculation is that orange guy is

Afton's dad who was abusive to him. Still, that doesn't quite explain why there was an animatronic's footprints there at the window, and why the window was broken. It seems that the kid willingly left with whatever it was. Then there's the incident at JR's that we know nothing about, and then the grave with no description. It seems impossible to be a prequel unless there were incidents that happened before that inspired William, or he was kidnapped by someone who wore a suit like this and combined with his parental abuse it traumatized him so much he became the monster we know him to be now.

The game with the little girl and the dead animals followed by Springtrap in the background so far doesn't make sense, but here's my take on it.

Before William killed kids he killed animals, and the started by butchering that cat/dog. I think what this is alluding to was William's first kill using the Spring Bonnie suit. I have no idea what the car horn is supposed to mean so don't ask.

Then lastly there's the matter of Candy Cadet, who is the best character in the series without a doubt. I'm not sure if the stories are to be taken literally or metaphorically. I'm thinking the story about the woman trapped in the room is an allusion to

Henry, and the "snake" is referring to William. Obviously that leaves the kittens as the kids. I think it means that he knew about William's murders and tried to quench his thirst by letting him kill one, but he got careless and led to all of them being killed.

The final story has to be about

Ennard, but it could also be tied to the grave with Orange guy.

All of his stories have one common theme: Things being combined into one. Now where have we seen that before?
