My thoughts as well. Animated looks okay however its going to be overly kiddy at times I'm sure, plus some of the designs and charachters look lame as far as I'm concerned.

 

Classics 2.0, easily.

 

classics 2.0 all the way. I love the classics line but the animated show looks kinda of.... werid to me with all the cheesy anamation shceme. the toys look very odd but O.K

 

WTF!? I hope that only applies to having them on the shelf at the same time and that we get those characters later in the line.

Yeah. Realistically, all that it means, is that we won't be getting the same 2 characters in these lines if they look similar to each other in the same here. So, that means that we could still get a Classics Ratchet, just not until 2009.

 

Unless Binaltech/Alternators or some derivative thereof is coming out, I'm not hyped about any upcoming line. I've been spoiled for the last four years and can't go backwards.

 

More excited for Animated. We've seen more toys in that line and I'm liking the fresh aesthetic.

 

I'm excited for the new show's toys, but overall I'm looking more forward to classics.

The classics were great, but I think it is an excuse for the big H to release more Re-paints. Which is fine, but not my cup of tea. I look forward to the new molds though.

Classics 2.0! Very easy choice, I will buy them all. As for animated, I'm just not really warming to the look. I might buy Grimlock, and Starscream. I feel like my buying patten will be very similar to what it was with Armada(I bought about nine, or ten figures from that line).

 

While I know I'll love a lot of the Classics, there's no way that Classics 2.0 will give me a Grimlock with a huge fiery sword, or a new Slag, or Soundwave with a guitar. So...animated wins, for me.

I love the fact that we're getting both, though.

 

I'm looking forward more to Classics at this point.

While Animated looks like it could be a good series, it's abandoned far too much of what I love about Transformers. I'm really not into the style of art they chose, and I wish they'd broken out of the Cartoon Network box and gone with something more sophisticated.

Classics although I do hope they change a little down the line and put in some animals ones, i'd like a better set of dinobots, animated ones just aren't doing all that much for me.

 

Some of the animated toys look okay, but I'm not too keen on the style. I'll pick up one or two to see that people generally like and see if they're worth it to me... Looks good in action... but the toys look... I dunno. They don't look right to me. However, I'll give them a chance.

That said? Gimme Classics 2.0 all the way. I didn't complete Classics 1.0... but I'm only missing Cliffjumper and Devastator. And the Botcon guys, of course, but I don't count them.
