Look at that poop slinging rhino riding monkey. But I dig seeing these.

When I first saw the other concept image prior to these, I really wondered what they were musing with, and maybe it would have explained the grassy areas on Cybertron in the movie. But I also assumed that was because it was scraping away at the Earth's surface like a giant shovel lifting. Much like if you went out to your yard with a shovel and scooped up a tuft of grass.

Still though I hated the Cybertron jellyfish thing they went with versus the global natural disaster with such a large planet coming in proximity to the Earth, much like how the moon affects our ocean tide cycles. Would have harken back to G1 The Ultimate Doom storyline. Waste of CGI money.

If they share this concept without a notice about planned Movie about BW (I was a fan of BW in childhood!), it means we'll never get this idea working. At least with this design. It should be kept in secret, if they have some plans. Beautiful and interesting look, certainly! But, you know, TRUCK NOT MONKEY:D

No always true. I remember they shared I think it was a devastator combiner concept for 1 movie and it wasn't used for that movie and then we got it the next movie. So, I'm holding out hope there will be beasts or even beast wars in the next movie!(obviously not the BB movie, but next TF movie)

My guess is it was meant to be a picture on Burton\'s wall.... I mean I can\'t imagine this being anywhere else in that story, after all this franchise is filled with missed opportunitiesĀ

This is more of a placeholder. If it was used I'm sure he would have been more appropriately sized...I would assume. They very well could go with this Kong sized version though for shits and giggles. He's still a banana loving poop tossing monkey to me, and I love it.

I love this idea. :)  Would be also awesome if Quintessa also made herself a Megatron based off of BW Megatron as a way to taunt both Grimlock and Megatron.

It's cool, but there's still a couple issues I have that are really nitpicky and not at all indicative of my feelings of this picture of my munkky waifu.

    1. This version seems to have either no bot mode, or simply wears his helmet in beast mode too.
    2. It's too big! I would want an accurately-sized munkky. Though, even in BW he was kind of... large, for a gorilla (or Megatron's a teeny T-Rex) so it's not that bad of an issue.

Nah, not quite yet for Megatron. Though I could see that much later that she forces a reformat on him that's closer to his TM2 form to mess with the Guardian Knights. But I'd save that for TF7. He needs to fail her a few more times first, and if TF6 is too full of new stuff, the budget goes wonky and the new things get no focus. So we need Primal for TF6 and survives, so we can have TM2 Megatron as her puppet created from anger much later and have it be actual Megatron turned into a full on flunky for her. Then maybe split them. Not sure. Haven't thought too far on Megatron yet. Been wanting to see Nemesis Primal take the focus first without the overabundant side stuff first, so we could have normal Megs scared scrapless by him too to really set the awe factor.

We need more tightly woven character motivations and cohesive story to wow factor mixed. So I'd rather they not overdo it too much yet. But 'Nemesis' Primal to slow build into that would be freaking epic!

    1. It could have a bot mode. But the prime style helmet is in both. If you're going to mock prime, and make a monkey out of him you need to do it in style so that he can see it as a psychological tactic. I'd imagine the bot mode wouldn't be that far removed from BW Primal, or maybe a dash of BM Primal mixed in the arms. Definitely still keep that prime like head though in bot mode as that 'mirror, mirror' element but scarier. If you're going to build a guardian that berates what you see as a traitor and all he turned on his planet for, you gotta go straight for the throat to make him see his parallel. The superior him so to speak.

So the bot mode I'd imagine would go something like the legs store in the front torso where the bigger mass is. Have the arms stay but shift open some, keep the back definition because those curves and designs are perfect for bot mode. and then the head transformation can either fold over the back of the head like a hood reveal, or fold into the chest where the bot mode legs were. That way the bot mode stands more imposing and dark foreboding. Like a one man army/swiss army knife of artillery. Allowing for the double barrel shot guns to store in the arms be arm mounted when needed for quick access, side sheathe swords, and maybe if possible some form of cannons that can slide out and go over the shoulder style when needed. If the monkey head folds over towards the back, it can double as a jet pack, if it folds into the chest, it could yield some other classic referential but updated design nods.

Or I'd suggest having the front torso panels open up. the hands shift as needed, with the head folding into the back, and allowing the the current back with paneling to become the front of the bot mode, to allow a better view of the black and silver side paneling to evoke a more imposing foreboding too. Either or, really love that side paneling and contrast of silver to black. Really makes it pop.

It may not have gotten that far in the design process though like the Anaconda probably didn't.

    2. King Kong ftw! If you're going to have a metal gorilla primal, you gotta have one big enough to tussle with Prime or Prime's Truck mode. King Kong sized is the way to go!

...that's actually precisely why I DON'T want to see it in TF6. I'd rather someone more capable Bay & The Writer's Room tweak/repurpose it for an actual representation of Primal in a film or comic or whatever far removed from the current timeline, rather than for a cheap slam at BW just 'cuz.

It's not a slam though. If handled right, it'd be a nod that could grow into a proper representation.
Movies aren't direct transitions of toon to film. We already have that story in the toon. This is a different universe, how it grows and comes into being to then what it becomes is the process that could give us a different take on Primal that still stays true to his core character values. Starting him off as Quintessa new guard doesn't mean he'd stay that way. As we've seen time and time again, her creations seem to always turn on her. Only the infernocons didn't, and their intelligence can be questioned anyway since they all circled around a guy with a big sword and never thought to duck.

Plus that transition gives us a direct Beast Machines nod too of his zealot days before he found balance.

They had a lot of ideas for The Last Baynight.

I do not see reason for monkey or snake alt mode with sizing like this.
