Who the hell said that line? Can someone come up with a plausible answer? Because that voice really came out of nowhere and it didn't sound very alien like.

Also why did they say REentering Cybetron? Optimus hasn't been on Cybertron since he left.

 

Most plausible answer i think of is the screenwriter.

 

Optimus Prime likes to refer to Optimus Prime in the third person...

Great, now I'm having nightmarish visions of Dwayne Johnson as a Transformer...

I immediately figured that it was one of the NASA guys documenting his movement, but then I realized (while floating is space) that there would be absolutely no way that anyone could do that in the movie's context because everyone's like 'Oh shit, Optimus Prime has ditched us, what the actual fuck do we do?' (namely Hopkins, in his monologue, as well as the Junkyard Autobots), and the idea that humans were observing his flight was developed less than Megatron's existence in his current body. Optimus Prime's state/situation, from the moment he was on screen in TLK to his brainwashing, is easily the most infuriating part of the movie.

 

I think the most obvious answer is Optimus Prime.

Flights have to report in when they're landing, he was announcing his arrival over open com channels to anyone that might be there and still listening for it.

 

It was OP's personal autopilot ... the same one repeating his answering machine message. The one that sounds like a Target exclusive toy's voice feature.

 

It didn't sound very Optimus like

 

Maybe Quintessa had sentries on Cybertron

 

I don't remember that line at all (maybe they just didn't dub it for my country?) but I would go with that answer. Seems the most plausible.

 

It was Optimus... I mean that's the actual answer. The line was said by Optimus

 

I brought up the autopilot thing repeating that message and people jumped down my throat like "where does it say that!!!" I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

 

All his other autopilot messages sounded like Optimus. This particular voice does not

Truly it was, the victim of more bad editing. He arrives and Quintessa knocks him down with energy blast, then he's just casually hanging out with her looking at pictures on the wall saying he wants redemption, then he's on his knees in chains again.

 

It doesn't really sound like Optimus.

Did you not see the red mark appear on his face after Quintessa was caressing the side of his face. Then Optimus Nodding his head after she says Optimus will find her staff for her. Then the next scene is Optimus in a trance like state "We must rebuild my home.".
