Is This a Good Overview of the best Transformers fiction?

    The US comics on their own doubtlessly, the UK material less so. Although, being more specific, it's a well done action comic, which is pretty distinct from the other more drama oriented media on the list.

    Meanwhile I'd consider the UK comics top tier out of everything, along with Furman's US run (56-80). That to me has never been surpassed. Everything since has desperately tried to copy it, or been very heavily influenced.

    He did a good chunk of early IDW too.

    Honestly, his run in IDW (including the Spotlights) did come close to Matrix Quest levels at times. Sunstreaker's plot in particular was brilliant.

    Growing up in the UK the Marvel comics were always my go-to for TF since the cartoon had a fairly choppy showing here, but I'd still do both intermixed because remembering the animation visuals, voices and sound effects can sometimes help enhance the comic experience.
