Wolverine and Green Lantern, because Laura Kinney and Jessica Cruz are two of my favorite characters right now and I'd like to see them interact with each other.

At the time of the last one the comic industry was in the toilet and Marvel was Bankrupt or heading that way. By the time of JLA/Avengers it was on it's way back up. So there was a financial component at both companies and luckily there weren't any real exclusive contracts yet, so there was a lot of artists and writers working for both companies and a lot of communication between them.

Hopefully the industry doesn't have to be in the toilet again before we see it happen.

But you never know what will happen at one time marvel had the opportunity to publish DC comics, while the owners kept the Rights, marvel would write draw and publish the issues. DC ended up going the crisis route instead. But it almost happened.
The Story Behind The Time Marvel Almost Bought DC Comics

But right now both have big movie properties behind them, so it's not likely to happen soon.

Wonder Woman and Captain America - set in the '40s. Both have star-spangled costumes (traditionally), and Diana has a thing for blonde guys named Steve.

Deadpool and Harley Quinn - because red and black, and crazy all over...

If you've been reading the back ups in the Harley book, you know what to expect. It more or less comes off like the animated series versions. Harley is also drawn in her classic outfit.

After Tom King's Vision series for Marvel, I've been dying to see his Mister Miracle book. Just a few more hours until it's up on comixology... Can't wait!

DC has announced a new series. It's titled "Batman and the Signal" and centers around Duke Thomas eccentially being Batman by day. I've been trying to avoiding getting any miniseries in single issues lately, but it's only going to be a three issues, so I'll get it. I'd actually kinda like to see this lead into Duke getting his own ongoing title.

I wish Duke had a better costume, though. I've seen a picture of what it's going to look like, and it's a little underwhelming. Still, I am hoping for the best.

And I read the first issue of King's Mister Miracle. It definitely did not disappoint. King is at his best when he takes a smaller character like this (or Vision) and does a contained story not directly involved with everything that is going on in the larger universe. Everything about this issue was great except for how soon it was over, beginning the long wait for the next issue. Part of me wishes I hadn't heard about this series until it was over, so I could read it all at once.

Signal's suit is pretty bad. Take all that yellow and replace it with blue then the suit would be cooking.

To each their own. I really like the design. Has some nice bat-family elements to it, and the yellow helps set him apart from the others.

I'm hoping it doesn't take Mattel too long to get a second figure of Duke made. His "We Are Robin" costume does make for a nice figure, but I would prefer one based on his Signal costume.

The suit is fine. It's the name that's hot garbage...

I've since looked a few different renditions of the suit. The design isn't as bad as I originally thought. I think if the yellow is kept a tad more muted the suit won't be look so bad. I still think the blue would be a better choice though.

    The name is unfortunate.

I understand not wanting to go blue, the same way I appreciate them not giving him the name "Bat-something". He's still tied enough to the Bat-family to hopefully reap the sales benefits of being associated with Batman while still getting to be a little bit of his own character.

I think Signal can grow on me as a name. I'm just really glad they didn't name him "Bat-Signal."

On the same note of being associated with the Bat-family while maintaining an individual identity, I have to say I'm torn on Azrael going back to his Batman costume. It's kind of cool looking (better than the original Azrael Batman costume from Knightfall, imo), but it also feels kind of desperate. And I liked the non-Bat Azrael costume he had already.

Thanks WP, now I don't have to ask my friends what happened in it. Of course, I have no context for the scene, but I know how it ends.

Superman: Year One: John Romita Jr. Reveals New Details

“Frank has this twisted imagination about what should happen, and we talked about it, and [Frank’s] eyes glow,” he continued. “He said he’s wanted to do this as long as he can remember, since, when did Batman: Year One come out? Was that 30 years ago?"

“It’s after the origin, it’s after he lands, what happens between the time he lands and the time he realizes what he is. And this slight slant on the development of Superman is that he’s really unconscious that he’s an alien ’til his parents tell him that he’s an alien. In the meantime, he just thinks he’s special. And he doesn’t appear in costume until the very end. It’s similar to the Daredevil: Man Without Fear back in the ’90s, and it’s the period of time up until he puts the costume on for the first time.”

We got that with Man of Steel right?
