I'm removing these guys from my tinkering thread and starting their own thread.

The origin of the Bi-Borgs goes back to the old Kenner Centurions toy line, with their villains Hacker and Doc Terror.

I attempted to make my own toy line based on their body design, but with 5mm peg and ports to assemble them. This is a thread to all the characters I create using the Bi-Borg parts lot, which is currently at 40+ pieces in my library. I am trying to model 1 or 2 more piece each day so I can both expand the library and also make the individual characters more unique. You may notice right now they share many parts. As I expand the library they will improve. Suggestions and positive feedback are welcome. If you don't like them, sorry about that. They are not meant to be serious toys, but something I do for fun!

Now a word from out main villain, Professor Splicer!

"First we take them apart, then we build something new! Buhahahaha!"
    Splicer power - Mind Control
    Dicer power - Teleportation

"Greetings fleshy mono-beings. I am Professor Splicer, and together with left-half, the mad-mech Dicer, I form the powerful combat unit known as Splicer-Dicer! Our plans are simple, the conquest of the universe using an army of my ever evolving Bi-Borg warriors. Bi-Borgs can mix and match cyborg units to form new and powerful combinations, as well as having modular weapons! Now hair-brained nay-sayers may suggest my Bi-Borgs are still quite primitive, and lack articulation and fine detail. To them I say... well, I don't say anything because Dicer here cuts them to ribbons with his molecular slicing Dicer-Blade! HAHAHAHA!"

"Of course not all Bi-Borgs are equal. Despite my best attempts some escape my guidance and become so-called "heroes". They will, of course, eventually be subjugated to my will and my quest to conquer the galaxy!" Let me introduce you to my powerful troops, and the goody-goody failures who pathetically oppose me!"

"The first of my many terrifying creations was my chief executioner Slash-Backslash. The deadly gravity magnifying Slasher-Mace on Slash can turn one a lesser cyborg into metallic coleslaw in no time, meanwhile the boorish Backslash is as strong as he is stupid, able to hold any victim in place while Slash puts them out of MY misery! The only problem with this awesome Bi-brute is that he seem to disappear from time to time, whenever a certain pop-star is in town. Still, I made sure his lack of two full hands and any vocal cords means he can never clap or cheer for his idol, and will remain a frustrated and forever silent fan, which pleases me to no end! HAHAHAHA"

"Of course Slash-Backslash is not perfect yet. I'd like to add further articulation to his left arm and leg, and perhaps a helmet that is doesn't look like a Cylon joined the Michigan State Spartans! Still, he's useful in taking out the garbage, even if the garbage is one of my rebel Bi-Borgs. You know, trouble makers like..."

Homage: Centurions Lesion and Hacker. New detailed waist, jointed human leg and robot foot.

"I had high hopes for Slammer-Hammer in the early days. This violent pair of twins may not have been the best fighters ever, but they were drift compatible, whatever that means. I granted them a magnetic anvil and hammer set that destroys anything between them and made the two violent youths into a single doubly-violent youth. How did they thank me? They WRECKED my lab and hit the ROAD, BUSTER! I'm not sure what they are up to, but it will not IMPACT my research into new forms of Bi-Borg mayhem!"

"Now one of my dreadful creations as of late has been a smashing success (and I mean that literally, he smashed the whole lab before I put him under my control!). He is the undead Bi-Borg hunter Trapper-Creeper. His right half Trapper can catch any being in his paralyzing Trap-Hook, while the right half Creeper, well, he can follow anyone anywhere unseen thanks to his special stealth field. Sadly he seems to be obsessed with that new POKE-A-THON game and can be distracted by virtual creatures he intends to capture."

Note: Homage to Masters of the Universe Trap Jaw. New jointed human leg and detailed waist.

"The pathetic Leader-Prime is a sorry excuse for a Bi-Borg, and I have no idea how he became so powerful, since his origin is utterly mundane. Leader was a young protector who tried to save the idealistic dock worker Prime from raiders when the pair were caught in a malfunctioning teleport beam that exploded. The beam deposited them steel-forest road where they were hit by a convoy of trucks and their remains were feasted upon by a flock of my radioactive robo-eagles! My repair droids put together the pieces as best they could, mostly from spare parts, and some pieces of the trucks and eagles for good measure! The resulting fusion was a misguided and boringly heroic Bi-Borg greater than the sum of his pieces. Leader's guard-field protects him from attack while Prime's energy axe can pierce any defense. Leader-Prime is clearly insane, and not in the good way! He wants to do nothing but "guard the freedom of all sentient beings" from the fists of my Bi-Borg raiders!"

Note: Homage to GoBots Leader-1 and Generation 1 Optimus Prime.

"We guard the freedom on all sentient beings."
Leader power: Force field makes him invulnerable for short periods
Prime power: Energy axe shorts out technology

"Leader likes to take to the sky in combat, but Prime prefers to stay well grounded. Leader-Prime is mostly made of recycled scrap pieces, but he does have unique heads, which I would love to do for my other creations. He would look better with an exhaust port on his left shoulder, don't you think?"

''Now Mega-Kill is a much better example of a Bi-Borg as I intended to create. They were a pair of gladiators who met in the arena. While they had vastly different origins, they were both equally destroyed in the battle. Of course I scooped up the remains and rebuilt the pair of hated enemies into a two-headed engine of destruction! His Mega-Cannon is equally powerful at a distance as his Kill-Wheel is in close quarters. He is also a powerful, if clumsy flyer who can launch himself like a two-headed missile thanks to the combined exhaust jet on Kill's boot and the thrust created by the Mega-Cannon."

Note: Homage to Generation 1 Megatron and GoBots Cy-Kill.

"We shall lead, as soon as we figure out who is in control."
Mega power: Can shrink down to 1/12 size at will.
Kill Power: Kill-Wheel cam rebound off several targets and always returns to his hand when thrown

''Mega-Kill is pretty close to the perfect soldier. Both Mega and Kill thinks each should be leading my forces, but his two halves still struggle for leadership of their own body. So until that internal war is done he will not prove to be any problem for me to rule! I think I may remodel Mega's leg so he's more unique to him, not a recolor of his partner."

"My success with rocket flight in Mega-Kill lead me to see what I could really do if I made a minion with flight in mind from the birth of their Bi-Borg design. This pair of top gunners were the best fighter pilot and wing-man pair in the history of the Air Protectors, so curious as to what I could do with them I arraigned a little "accident" involving an exploding lama. After I recovered the bodies my work began. They were even more successful as a flying Bi-Borg than I had even dreamed in my best nightmares, this pair was nearly a home-run. I was so distracted with my brilliance they managed to fly away before I could place them under mind control. Oh well, I'll get them under my titanium thumb sooner or later."

    Note: Homage to Pretender Doubleheader.

Strike 1 power: Double speed for short periods
Strike 2 power: 360 degree, x-ray and telescopic vision

''Of course they need more articulation, and I want to eventually give them a custom rifle which turns into a drone who combines with their wing pack. Also, perhaps helmets inspired by some flying movie character would make him even better!''

Thanks muchly. I have found several local printers on 3dhubs.com that will print out on cheap prototyping plastic for me at a VERY low cost. So I am slowly getting pieces printed so I can make the figures. It is costing about $2 per component and a 7 inch Bi-Borg figure is usually under 20-30 components for both sides. I learned making the blocks hollow saves money too.

"Sometimes no matter how well you plan things just go awry, you know? No matter how SIMPLE your plan to use trained lab mice with miniature flamethrowers to break into a government research facility to steal an unique matter duplicator prototype, things just go right into the smelting bin! Still, as I always says: When the world gives you nuclear waste, you make nuclear-powered attack-monkeys! In a brilliant move, I created a new minion. Okay, well, I mean when Mega-Kill was carrying the duplicator beam out of the lab, he slipped on a banana peal (dropped by one of my nuclear-powered attack-monkeys). The device exploded in his face, destroying the duplicator and leaving a cross-wired copy of my pet Bi-Borg gladiator. He followed us back to my secret underground lair where I installed a stolen Giga-Cannon as his primary weapon. This twisted carbon copy thinks of himself as the next generation of Bi-Borg warrior. I have dubbed this bizarro-borg with the moniker Giga-Murder!"

Note: Homage to Generation 2 Megatron and black GoBot Cy-Kill.

    "We am number 1 and 2 Bi-Borg!"
Giga power: Giga-Cannon can negate other Bi-Borg's powers for short periods
Murder power: Can sense exact location of any living being in 500 foot radius

"His Giga-Cannon may be powerful, but it lacks style. It could use a revamp. It looks exactly like a bunch of arm parts with a smoke stack stuck in it!"

"When the world gives you nuclear waste, you make nuclear-powered attack-monkeys!" - Professor Splicer, mad scientist and piano tuner.

"You'd be amazed how many large gizmos and do-dads you need in your daily conquest of the planet. Sometimes your minions are all busy on missions furthering said conquest, so a good pair of strong arms standing nearby eating a banana can be handy. That's where my nuclear-powered attack-monkeys, Grease-Flinger, come in. Sure the right head is always eating, and left head constantly goes on about how it is more intelligent than I am and how they should be in charge, but thanks to safeguards built into their design (which actually WORKED this time!) they are required to obey all orders I give them, and cannot lift a cyber-paw against me... Now, go move that interociter! It would look better by the credenza... and clean up that mess!"

I honestly never knew what it did, but figuring such a technology might be useful, I sent my minions to liberate it for my own use. (Note to self: Atomic powered llama's are totally unreliable! Never use again!) The resulting explosion created his dark duplicate Night, who is the opposite of Knight in every way. I collected them both from the rubble and I merged to two because..... well, MAD SCIENCE! BUHAHAHA! No one can predict the actions of the twin terror Night-Knight! He can take down any foe with paired Fire & Ice Axes! This bipolar-borg keeps switching sides. "My cousin Dwight stole one my rejected cyborg designs. Wanted to become my evil assistant, but then struck on is own. Calls himself Blight-Shade. Pathetic! If he was paying attention he would have noticed the flaw in their power-circuits giving them such weak powers. The circuit intended to give him mastery over all animals only grants power to control a single buzzing insect. Meanwhile the circuit intended to give him mastery of the dark dimension is limited to slightly dimming the room he enters. Still, he is physically as powerful as any of my creations. His powers are useful for creative distractions at best. Last I heard he had a plan to use postal fraud to take over Kalamazoo."

What's the over/under on the cease and desist letter arriving before you begin production? Hasbro owns Kenner who made the Centurions...
