Not bad, animation looks like a mix of the Batman and Teen Titans.

Yes. which is the exact same age group every other show has been aimed at. Why is that such a sudden shock to the 20-30 year old fans that started watching the series from when THEY were 6 or 7 years old?

2008 Probably some form of teaser either around oct or dec of 07, possibly january.

and I hope they remold Deluxe prime to have a prime head. I love that figure, but kinda hate that head...

But hey at least I'll have one to call orion pax.

So far, if that little girl is the worst we'll get human wise...
I'm happy. 1 girl is less than 3 annoying whining brats. And it looks like she'll at least be written in decently, and not haphazardly.

I still can't cope with prime's voice though, BB grew pretty fast on me. But prime just feels off and too soft.
"The way he says "consider this an upgrade" just feels like he's too much of a green horn, and has stopped to fight megs yet, just run. While I do like the connotations this gives as the original G1 bots were all scientist, factory bots, and other forms of remedial tasks with decepticons being the military power houses gone rogue. But still, how could you rally behind that voice for a leader? He has no presence. Hopefully that'll change as the character grows, but this so far feels like a potential doubt ridden prime.

Isn't that what ultra magnus is for?

Yeah, I'm sold now too. I can't say I'm too fond of that little girl though, whoever she is. The animation works surprisingly well compared to my expectations. My only problem with it is there seemed to be some "blobforming" which is harder to overlook in a new-age cartoon than it is in a cartoon from 2 decades ago. One of the things I actually liked about watching the transformations in Cybertron was that you see where everything goes and, in turn, know it makes sense.
But I digress, I'm now really looking forward to this show. And that Earth-form Optimus figure looks sweet.
EDIT: On Starscream's voice; I've actually been told I do a near-perfect impersonation of G1 Starscream. Would've been awesome if I got to play him :p  (of course that's just wishful thinking as I'm 17 and obviously didn't try to audition).

    TF Theme: Excellent! :thumb
    Animation: Looks decent.
Prime & Bee's voice: Ugggh, NO. :banghead:
Starscream's voice: Just like the good old days. :thumb
Girl: Um, why do we need kids in these again??? Just please not let them be in the final battle again like Cybertron, et al... :rolleyes2
Toys: I'll wait for Classics 2.0 aka Universe

I'll give it a chance hoping that they put it on at a decent hour of the day / evening.

    Looks awesome, but I just wish it wasn't such a G1 re-tread.

I hate to say it, but that looked very well done.

This is probably going to to end up like Beast Wars was for me where I loved the show but hated the toys.

Prime is the new leader of the Autobots and is growing into the role. So in this series he is a greenhorn.

wrong. maybe the toys minimal age is 5+ ...but the show's hardly aimed at the same ages as this new versions generation.

6 and 7 yr olds don't watch shooters and action cartoons, they watch blue's clues and spongebob. I know, I have one.

Still not digging those toon/teen titan designs...
Not for me. But the show may be tolerable just to see attempted G1 homages for laughs.
Cartoon Network's track record on time slots & reruns is going to be extremely annoying.
Hope this 'new toony direction' doesn't last for the next 5 years.

-Sad the toys look just as toony.

But this wasn't meant for me, so maybe my son will like it. :yuck

This is much more promising than the nebulous bits of info we've been getting. TF scenes are differrent, but not as slow or boring as Cybertron. And now I'm more sure than ever that Starscreams design is based from Armada(Whee!) The voice for him, you can almost hear the ambition. But no Blitzwing or Lugnut? maybe next trailer.

Just so everyone's aware: Those of us at Botcon did NOT get to see this. We saw two sizzle clips that weren't nearly as badass.

Also, this, -this-, THIS is how you redo the old theme in a contemporary-ish style. Holy crap woo yaaaay!

I think this show will be very successful. Sure the bots are highly stylized. The important thing is they are hiring professional writers to focus on character-driven stories. No it won't win over all TF fans, but c'mon, it's a kid's cartoon--it's not aimed at guys in their 20s and 30s. In any event, it looks much more promising than the horrid dreck of Armada, Energon, and Cybertron.

Doesn't look too bad, I'd probabily watch a couple episodes to see how it is.

Though I don't like how they toys are coming out, though. :(
