Need these. That crosshairs is way better than the aoe mold. Might have to paint him up just a tad but it\'s okay. Dragon storm will be repainted .....period. My aoe strafe broke so will buy this one...just need these , new bb , and. Cogman then doneĀ

Sales might have been good for the new molds in wave 1 for the first month. Voyager Prime sold well, at first. Barricade and Dredd(?) seemed to sell pretty good to. But, wave 1 was all that stayed on shelves for the next couple months through the launch of the actual movie. So, we had two voyagers, one being a repaint of a figure that has been repainted about a dozen times and was cheaper a few years ago, along with a wave of deluxes with a couple repaints that were cheaper a few years ago. This was basically the big movie toy push all through the hype and launch of the movie. That's not... not really impressive.

Man, my memories of the 2007 movie toys... now THAT was a way to do movie toys. A whole new line with all new figures in all size classes. Over time there were some shelf warmers but the line did really well and I kept finding new things actually showing up on shelves at a good pace.

I'm surprised it took Crosshairs this long to come out. It's an okay mould, but I do really appreciate all the retooling they did to clean up a lot of the pegs and panels from the original version.

Now if only they could have made a brand new figure entirely. Maybe next time...?

No worries, I'm not offered. That said, I'm not a G1 fan at all. I became a TF fan from the 2007 movie. I've just become disappointed with how things have gone with Hasbro. I wss a very big defender of the TF movie and their designs.

Exactly. Why not have nearly all the lines out while the hype is high? In 07 their figures were flying off the shelves. It's almost August and I have yet to see much past wave one. There may be a few wave 2s around but that's it. I've noticed my stores aren't even restocking wave 1 figures...

I really don't like the inexplicable orange on Dragonstorm. I think if those components stuck to the robots' paint schemes more closely, the dragon mode wouldn't look as horrible. Besides the aforementioned jack'o lantern heads, the robot modes look incredibly badass, and might justify my purchase. The Crosshairs mold looks far better than the AoE one, but the lack of robot paint is a crippling failure. There cannot be a logical enough excuse to justify the lack of goggle and limb details. The Strafe looks really cool. Strafe is actually one of my favorite Deluxes to come out of the Wahlburg movies, and while i don't need another, I'd go for it had I not acquired the AoE retail one already. Though not technically part of this thread, these ones are still part of Wave 3, so I'll refer to them too. W3 Bee is certainly a net improvement over...well...nearly all previous Deluxe Bees in terms of modes and general sculpt. However, the head sculpt looks seriously terrible, probably because of the eyes, so I imagine that attempting to splice a DotM/AoE head successfully would do wonders. If Cyberfire BB is Murder-Bee, this Bee is 'small dog trying to get a treat"-Bee. Doesn't roll of the tongue, though. Cogman looks absolutely incredible. Instant buy.

I'm in for that Crosshairs, passed on the old one cause of the stupid lazy half painted deco but man. All I see at my local stores is wave 1 still. A case of wave 2 voyageres has shown up here and there but that's pretty much it.

Personally, I think Hasbro really fucked it up by making wave 1 so heavy on old releases.

Yep. I know TLK didn't do as well as previous movies but it was still a big movie that made more money than most will this year. It's crazy to think that Hasbro doesn't think these movies are worth all new toys in the first couple waves anymore.
