Too Gundam-y. (And I own many---but I want my TF's to look like TF's and my Gundams to look like Gundams---not vice-versa).

Reminds me of Perfect Effect's Lio Convoy figure. Especially the torso.

Perfect Effect has been the only one doing Gundam/Japanese mecha style renditions.

Generation Toy is doing the T-Beast fan arts.

It looks cool but a bit too puffy for my liking.
I\'m more interested in who that prototype behind OP is.
    Megatron or Tarn?

Just too Gundam. It\'s like Pat Lee designed this and went even further than before with the design.

Kind of reminds me of the first version of Armada Prime.

I can't help but see a face in his chest, abs and waist area. Gurren Lagan style.

    "Gundam this, Gundam that."

Maybe it's just me being used to these sort of aesthetics, but how does this look like a Gundam? If anything, it looks more like Pat Lee's style to me than anything else.

    T-Beasts?? :)

I love that design but I'm partial to double00 most and I just picked the Metalbuild F91 figure which has a movie Optimus Prime faceplate gimmick (slides open from the sides to reveal mouth) it's super cool! With plenty of other details/gimmicks

Oh its GunPLA not Gunplay ;)

BTW this design does not entice to spend money on it. That Drift however. ...

Its kinda funny how multiple people have written that these guys are ripping off Gundum stuff and low and behold they are now making a model kit, which I'll be getting, if its cool and the price is right. I wish drive was like just between 150-180, then it would be a better pill to swallow

Most notably, the forearms, wrist cover, "inner/outer split bicep", that outer flap hanging down off the top of the shoulder armor--the arms are the most Gundam-y of all, if you want specifics.

I remember years and years ago when the Revoltech line first announced it was getting a prime we had a prototype of a really cool Energon prime before they canned it. This is the same style (but clearly new design) I wonder if it's the same designer or this guy took notes on them.

chest also reminds me of a pre-earth Armada prime

Very anime, like a Gurren Lagann design.
Can't say I'm keen, especially as it's yet another non transforming prime figure.
Yup, Skull Prime is not for me.
