Waynesboro Walmart has 2 each TR Voyager Prime and Megatron.

 

Having recently bought 3A starscream, hot toys shades, MMC screecher and hot rod, and now leader megatron, I feel your pain lol.

 

Ok...so I've been debating Leader vs Voyager.

Why is it disappointing?

 

I've grown to hate summer time and Hasbro. They are murder on my wallet. And next year it's Predaking.

 

Well, the fact that there are gaping holes in the forearms without any flaps to cover them sucks, and what makes it worse is they're inward bending elbows. So, if you want them positioned properly the holes are in front and the cannon is in back.

Then you've got the cannon itself, it's just too darn big/wide.

There's also the big cape on its back.. it's a $50 figure, I don't think adding a couple hinges would've killed their budget.

I thought at the very least the jet mode would be nice. But the nose of the jet just does not want to stay together. The sides of the nose don't connect securely, and the tip doesn't either especially since the tip is soft rubber.

The leader, in my opinion, does nothing better than the voyager. Well, except for the details, the details are more refined and I like the silver "wear and tear"..

Aside from that.. the voyager has a better transformation, it's more clever in my opinion and leads to a cleaner robot mode. It stays together MUCH better than the leader. The arms are done right. Yes they hollow sections as well, but they're not nearly as noticeable. The elbows have a better range of movement unlike the 90 degrees of the leaders. The voyager also has ankle articulation as does the leader so that's a wash.

The leader is larger which is nice, but just because a bad toy is larger doesn't mean it's better. The flame effects for the leader are nice, but not $50 nice. Plus, I think the voyager prime is nicer than the leader, so that also gets taken into consideration

I'd definitely go with the voyager. Not only is it better than the leader but I think it's a really nice figure period. I was actually surprised with how much I enjoyed it, and I had already expected to like it.

But hey, maybe some of the things that bother me wouldn't bother you. I just wish they had used the voyager as a base, maybe made the side hip panels a bit more accurate, given it forarm flaps to hide the holes, refined the hinge on the cannon, and added the mask gimmick.

Lol, I feel like it's year-round for me. I wish I only collected hasbro transformers. But my tastes have grown out of control lol. And ever since getting 3A starscream, I've been really hoping to get another 3A bad guy.. like a TLK megatron, or lockdown, or sentinel prime.

 

Voyager it is then lol. My wallet will thank me too

I went to robinson tru and they had a trypticon and cybertrons. South hills tru has two mp-10's and multiple cybertrons and multiple chaos on velocitron sets. I asked a former coworker to check the system for MPM bumblebee. Our DC has received its initial shipment of him. He should be hitting stores next week.

 

Cranberry TRU has one Chaos set and a bunch of the Kup wave figures minus Krok.

Monroeville TRU has two MP-10s and one G2 Primus. Also a Sixshot, the new RID combiners, and some of those Allspark talking Optimus whatevers.

I bought a G2 Primus and it is glorious. That is all.

 

Washington TRU is stocked! 3x MP-10, Trypticon, Chaos on Velocitron, and a Cybertron. A few of the recently wave TR deluxes. Nothing of interest to me, though. Just wish I had got Mp-10 for $160 but I have the original run.

 

i'm in Philadelphia for the next five days, celebrating my anniversary. are there any 'must see' shops in the Philly area?

 

Incredibly surprised to see the TRU IN Wilkes-Barre had several MP Primes, three Chaos on Velocitron sets, some Fort Maxes, a Trypticon, and the TLK exclusive deluxes, and a leader Prime. Best stocked that store has been in a looong time.

 

Saw a Velocitron set at Lancaster TRU. I thought hasbro was starting to get its head back on track. Now I see that they want me to buy 3 different sets to make a clones set.
