Until the Takara version comes out... This will have to do :)

Tamiya and drybrush. Swapped out CHUG Kup head and cut away the back torso to make room for a swivel/ball joint.

Also chiseled away at armpits to let arms swing down more in robot mode.

*Since Photobuckets not working well, I uploaded the images as thumbnails instead.

Looks great! If I hadn't pre-ordered a Takara version this is exactly what I was going to do as well. You know, I'm really surprised we haven't had 3rd parties making the shit out of non-Titan master heads to go on all these guys. I figured there would be a huge market of people wanting heads that weren't half a head on a folded over bot.

I agree. I'm still waiting for my MTMTE Hot Rod head and a...well, good Galvatron head.

Great job btw. The colors of the Hasbro one pretty much killed it for me. This looks great.

I agree. Shapeways has some good stuff, but I'm surprised that perfect effect and chums hasn't been pumping out Powermaster, targetmaster figs, new heads, parts to make vehicles look like their original g1 forms, or even additional chug versions, say Headmaster juniors, etc.

Did you mix these colors or did you use specific Tamiya ones? Great job.

Thanks! I was gonna wait for Takara too but I couldnt resist buying the hasbro one when i saw it at TRU

Thanks, I feel like Hasbro thinks we will buy whatever they fork out regardless of QC, and I guess they make more money from Takara through their repaints and retools?? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Thanks Hurry up with the retool :p

I mixed xf23 with xf2 for the light green and xf70 with xf1 and xf23 for the dark green. The. I drybrushed some silver on top.

So i retooled CHUG Kup's head and put it on TR Kup which I think helps. I then shaved off some excess under Kup's shoulder joints so that his arms could swing down more.

I'm still trying to figure out a good way to transform him and keep his head at the same time.... Anyone got any bright ideas?

Your custom looks nice. The colors are decent and I prefer the older head.

On that note, am I the only one who thinks this figure looks ugly? Not a critique on your custom, just my opinion on TR Kup overall.

Well to be fair Kup's design in general is supposed to be an old shamble of a bot. I think the figure captures the old fogey quite nicely.

    Beautiful custom btw

This is nice but I think I'm gonna go simpler with mine, the generations kup head has the same size ball joint as a titanmaster head, so my kup is gonna end up like the last knight nitro, with a non transforming head that can go on any titans return body (will be using the igear head as I like that one better)
