If you're 4.5 hours from St. Louis, then how close are you to Wichita KS? There is a fairly large Transformers convention held there every year called TF Expo which is August 18-20 this year. I would highly recommend going, if you have the time and money, and even a 6-7 hour drive would be worth it.

I see there is also a show in the Memphis area called the Memphis Diecast and Toy Show that appears to not have dates scheduled for this year yet, so that might be worth investigating.

 

Calling them plastic bubbles may have not been the best wording... >>; I'm not talking about bubble wrap (although it sounds super convenient that your workplace sells it) I meant the actual plastic pieces in the packaging the figures come cradled in when they are in their boxes or card backs. Those don't store as easily as cardboard since they can't really be collapsed down without damaging them.

 

i didnt know they had one in memphis i thought they just had furry and anime conventions there lol, but whichata is 8 hrs 45 mins or so on the normal from what the googles say may i ask when going to conventions whats the average prices and what does it get you when you go?

Getting in the door usually is not expensive. Usually you'll find that however much money you bring to spend, it wasn't enough. It helps to have a firm list of what you're looking for, otherwise it can easily be overwhelming. I've never been to TF Expo myself, but lots of others here have. Just imagine a convention center room where every table, every shelf, every wall is stacked to the top with Transformers. Last year they had 10,000 square feet of event space and voice actor Michael Bell was a guest, so I'm sure he had a panel and signed autographs.

 

thanks to you guys i preordered masterpeice megatron with coin and sunstreaker and his bro in master peice, whats the diff between orange cap megs?

 

plus jw is it easy to get masterpeices that are sold out some where else? i went threw bbts i saw shock wave he was out of stock preoder  

 

Due to gun laws in the U.S., sellers are not legally allowed to sell Megatron without an orange safety cap glued into the barrel. It should be easily removable. For sold-out Masterpieces, there's always eBay, but if you'd rather not go there, Takara will occasionally reissue the older MPs if you have lots of patience.

Did you go with a Japanese store? You shouldn't have any issue with importing a non-capped Megatron. I don't recall hearing anyone say their Megatron got seized by customs.

 

Deluxes back then was where most things where placed sideswipe jazz where larger deluxes because they started cheaping out and shrinking the toys if they hadn't todays deluxes would be the same size

 

spell check, punctuation, proof reading and google are all you need.
