Looked around and couldn't find if anyone else brought this up... anyone else notice what looks like an OS KO CW Superion with mold tweaks and improvements in these JJ01 SG Optimus display pics?? I was immediately hyped seeing these photos, but no one else seemed to catch it...

Also, stoked about the os classics sg optimus... A beast of a figure, and worth every penny.

 

Just got OS Off-road in the mail.

 

That artwork is pretty cool.

 

That Aerialbot set is made in Jin Jiang, the guys who made the leader sized Classic Optimus. Not sure if it will be compatible with Wei Jiang's oversized CW figures.

 

Yeah, at best I'm hoping for a good scale with the WJ Defensor. If the ports don't work together, that's a bummer but not a deal breaker for me. Hope they end up being compatible though, or close enough to mod them to work! =)

 

Well from the photo it looks like JJ does not use the Combiner Wars Hand/Foot Guns. It has dedicated hands and feet for combined mode.

 

Those Aerialbots are looking pretty awesome. I would definitely be interested in getting a set of these, whether they are compatible with OS KO Defensor or not. I was seriously considering the idea of tracking down the OS KO TFC Project Uranos Superion for my display, but maybe these would be the better option...?

 

The KO TFC Uranos is pretty bad in my opinion, I considered it before too. The simplifications they made to the individual bots were a little too funky for me. I'd say wait and see how this improved CW KO works out first.
Right now, these OS Aerialbots are looking about voyager sized based on their alt mode sizes; I'm thinking it'll probably be better to take these and custom voyager seekers out of them than buying the Voyager Starscream Hasbro just unveiled at SDCC. That thing is looking pretty doodoo off the bat... Lol.

Does the Off Road have the diecast legs like the Defensor figures had? I really liked the upscaled Defensor figures -but didn't like the diecast. I wanted them for my kid, but I don't want her dropping a 1/2 pound of metal on the wood floors when she drops a figure.

 

I know I'm in the minority, but I would love them to OS the CW Ironhide. I really dig the offroad mold i just thought he was too small as Ironhide.

 

Really hate the shoulder kibble on all uses of that mold.

I'd like to see a non-ghost starscream from the galvatronus set.

 

I don't think they are oversized... simply reshelled to have proper G1 alt modes, and maybe another bit of retooling. Note the SG Voyager Prime, who is a smaller voyager to begin with. It's not much bigger. TBH, I wouldn't mind a KO reshelled Superion.

Now for oversized KOs... we just saw Hasbro unveil a Dread Wing duo... Deluxe Aerialbot retools that can combine to form their G1 duo jet... but man, rescaled to Voyager or Leader would be nice.

 

I was thinking the Prime next to it was the JJ01 OS Classic KO, and based on that plus how they look compared to the hand in the shot, I'm guessing they're os'd... Hopefully we'll get some details soon to know for sure!

 

KOOS Offroad has no diecast.

Bingo... The sg prime in that pic IS the JJ01 Shattered Glass version, as you can plainly see a standard SG Prime next to the JJ01SG in the second pic.

These aerialbots are easily oversized.  

 

So...where's the cheapest place to get OS Hot Spot from?

 

Do an ebay search for "Wei Jiang Patron Saint" and Hot Spot should come up. Then just choose the ebay seller with the most legit looking feedback, blow on your dice for luck, then roll 'em and hope you don't crap out with a rogue seller. I think $18 shipped was the last average price I remember for these kos.
