Yup. I'm in the same camp. I got my KO HasTak color Shattered Glass MP-10 & Trailer set from him with no issues back in April or May. I haven't bought from him since but his prices suddenly started looking really suspect.

Personally, I believe its the same person(s) all over again with different ebay accounts and/or bank accounts.
The mondus operandi in all of them is the same.

And if you ask me its ebays fault. It provides them with the tools to set those scams up. Well I guess as long as Ebay/paypal is willing to return the losses I dont complain. Its their money after all that are lost in the end.

 

My item from them hasn't shown up. I can't claim with eBay until after the estimated arrival date has lapsed, meanwhile tracking shows the item arrived (back) in Beijing 14 days ago! Why send something back to yourself and just send nothing? My experience with eBay Australia is it doesn't matter whether the tracking doesn't work or the item doesn't arrive, you still get refunded. Don't get the scammer mindset. I guess you have more bogus items in play and shipping and you can scam for longer?

Anyway, Pilot00. Rambling aside I think you'll have to wait for estimated arrival date to pass before you can claim through eBay. We can't claim through Paypal in Aus so might be different where you are.

Anyway, wave goodbye to the ebay discount (these are v rare in Australia) and have to shop around from another Grassor elsewhere

 

I dont think I have a problem to open a paypal dispute, but I want to have my bases covered. I dont want to open a disspute that will end up as "wait till it arrives" and lose the dispute. Thats why I am asking around  

 

Considering that is on the way, I would wait. Otherwise do the refund process straight to PayPal. They usually deal with that faster.

 

I do think they will ask you to wait since the tracking is working. But this shouldn't be an issue, you will just need to wait a little. What was the date set to arrive when you bought it?

 

Υesterday, with 22 of August been the deadline. But tracking started to work ten days after he marked it as shipped (after I sent him 2 mails).

 

I have noticed a common theme with these scammers from my personal experiences and from seeing pics from others. Beijing - Fangshan District, or Henan District. I totally believe they are the same people operating under different eBay accounts. The type of posted item seems to follow a pattern too. Last time around it was plastic/glass beads and the recent trend seems to be necklaces with metal lacework leaves. They all came from supposedly different sellers, yet they are all in the same general area and post out the same shit with the same incomplete or jumbled addresses ..... Has definitely put me off buying from any sellers based in Beijing, that's for sure!!!
Apart from my recent longkfei88_90 transactions and eventual scam, I had 3 previous transactions with wzwu66886 that went without a hitch.... Talk about dodging a bullet!!!!! Just goes to show you can't really trust any of them!! He was professional, had good communication and I recieved all my items within 7 days..... Wtf...

 

FWIW, PayPal won't always make you wait until after the shipping deadline. If they perceive a real issue or get lots of claims filed against someone, which is likely once a scammer turns rogue, they will often expedite the claim by demanding a response from them within a short time frame, like three days. After which they generally find in your favor very shortly. That's what's happening with my claim on longkfei88_90

 

i have had success in the past filing a claim before the expected shipping arrival but not this time. I called paypal and was on hold for 30 mintues and spoke to someone who was of no help and just regurgitated that same old bull shit about paypal money back guarantee(she repeated this like 4 times during the call). i explained to them about the influx of negative feedback and that my tracking number has not worked for over 3 weeks and the seller refuses to respond to me but it fell on deaf ears.

 

Man that really blows. I would try again at least once and ask them to try and expedite it. Can't hurt to try. Sometimes it's about the person you reach more than the company.

 

I ordered brawny from them on June 21th when it was still $65 shipped. But my tracking still shows it left Beijing headed for JFK since June 24th. I've started a ebay claim with them. If anyone else has problem with them, please let me know.

 

Some people if his feedback is to be an indication, were receiving their items as well even on the last day....I just cant understand the logic behind it.

 

Mine shipped July 4th and still hasn't reached the US. Funny thing is, I something shipped from another Chinese seller on July 3rd, and that seller messaged me saying the customs was very backed up due to new security measures so it might be delayed about a week. The item arrived in one week, but there might be something going on with customs as well. Maybe the Dept. Of Homeland Security is starting a Transformers collection.

That's what I don't understand with my transaction with him. Comms were top notch, the goods arrived in a couple of weeks and his positive feedback was still rolling in.

Fast forward a few days and the necklaces start being received. Begs the question; why do it!?

 

I ordered 2 figures from them last week... Doh!

How long before you start a claim? To call paypal as has been advised on here... my card/account with them is not based in the US (although deliveries were to a US address) Can i still call and try?

I ordered a Reximus Prime from hybao999_3 on July 2 and got it today. It was packaged very well but the box still showed some wear. I just wish I had enough room to display him in dino-mode. He's amazing!

With that said, I'm in the same boat as others with bestgift_china. I ordered a DX9 Tyrant from them before I saw this thread. I got the tracking number right away but it doesn't work yet. But that's not uncommon. My tracking number from TF-Direct took a week to start working.

 

Well It's final. Even though I did get my money back from the now seller turned thief wzwu66886. I recieved my package today and it turned out to be small packet with a necklace.

You know it's a damn shame these guys start out good and screw people over out of their money but I guys that's part of their plan..I don't get it, I mean you're making good money, why they turn bad is beyond me...all I know is they will not make it far in life if they keep this up. PayPal should start putting measures in place like holding their money until the buyer gets their package and confirms that they really got what they ordered.
