Good to know! I have these guys shipping with DX9's Slag and Sludge. Glad they improved from the first set. It will be interesting to see what improvements they implement with Brainstorm and Mindwipe.

Hopefully they add some head swivel. Being that these are Headmasters, their heads are rather large/prominent and when it can't swivel...well you notice. Also the fact that they have a waist swivel makes it even more obvious how nice it would have been for the heads to move when dynamic posing.

I really hope when they get to Highbrow they have incorporated a head swivel.

Just got these guys in the mail today. Finsihed transforming them. Now I see what people mean when they say tha UT's plastic has this 'soft' quality. It's not like you can bend it, it's just not as, well, hard as a TR deluxe. It's not cheap, just... it's hard to put into words.

Some of the tabs really didn't want to tab, and the silver paint on Hardhead's right shoulder was scratched out of the box.

On the other hand, really ingenuitive transformations that are on par with - or even surpass - TR Wheelie, and the bot modes are really impressive.

Yeah, the transformations are ingenious, but without any steps that are ridiculously difficult or make you afraid that you will break a piece or scrap the paint off (looking at you DX9: Kup, Megatron and Sludge).
Brainstorm/Mindwipe look about ready to ship so we can see if the trend continues.

I forgot to mention - the instructions are pretty horrible. Skullcruncher's in particular.

Have you seen the new prototypes? Includes a triple changer snapdragon and apeface, a highbrow and a cerebros that transforms into a head. This could also mean wa could have a bigger fortress maximus fot scaling with this palm collection guys.

    What you talkin bout willis?

There is a legends arcee from dx9, granted she is not a headmaster(?) but fits perfectly.

    i haven't read anything here.
but, i'm going for the weijiang versions of these headmasters.
20 bucks a piece and voyager size.

i already have a review of hardhead in the 3rd party review section.

To clarify, those weijiang you are talking about are not versions of these.
