So I did something kinda stupid and ordered a $23 (red flag #1) Brawny that would appear an obvious scam...but I can't figure out what their angle is. They claim to be a US seller and they have 0 feedback (red flag #2,) but I assume ebay/paypal will hold their funds as a new seller (they still do that, right?)...and it's the only thing they were selling...as in 1 unit. So other than the lolz of wasting my time, what does this person have to gain by this...assuming it's a scam?

But it was the only thing they had up for sale...I'd have not even bothered if they had a bunch of stuff listed at stupid prices, but there was enough going against the usual scams that I took the flyer. Still don't expect to get it, but figured no one should get shafted in the nonsensical scam at least.

Yeah, I won XTB Ollie off eBay for $8.50. Says it shipped last week and will be getting here on Tuesday.

I'm not expecting it to be Ollie when it gets here, but the possibility of getting it for $8.50 was not particularly risky through eBay and PayPal.

It did make me wonder though as to why these scammers even bother for just $8.50.

I dunno, but something similar happened with me. I got a DX9 Terror for dirt cheap under similar seller circumstances. It never shipped. I opened a claim and I got my money back. It was weird.

Do we have any direct side-by-side pics of the original compared to the reissue of Brawny?

I suspect that will be what happens. I just don't understand the point... Jollies off the buyer getting all excited and then crushed when they come to find their deal of the year comes up empty? Unfortunate for them, I won't be crushed... I'll be surprised if it shows up.

Same. Backland for £7.50 posted from the US. Seller had zero feedback and only a couple items listed (including another the same). I'll risk losing £7.50 just on the off-chance this is somehow not a scam.

After a couple of days with Brawny he's easily one of my favorite figures. Great size, fun transformation and looks fantastic. Sure, his face isn't 100% spot on but the figure in total captures my idea of him.

Just got my Brawny and Backland in from BBTS.

Outback went together as well as I would expect. The tabs that hold his chest together have a tendency to pop out when I move his arms up and down... not the greatest product I've bought.

Brawn, however, just doesn't work. The grill is supposed to fold into the back of his chest, but there's not enough clearance in the hinge to allow it to stay there. Because the grill doesn't align, the parts that are supposed to peg into the sides of the chest won't fit. Really, it doesn't look like they'd fit even if the grill did fold all the way down.

What am I doing wrong? Besides buying Badcube figures (I kid, I kid)!

Well if you have 10 more buyers, it's 85. For 10 box of seaweeds, it's an amazing business!!!

It's definitely a scam of scale but the difference in buying power between dollars and kuai also factors in. Depending on the prevailing exchange rate $8.50 is about 60 kuai, which goes much further in China than $8.50 does here.
