Sorry to read posts from people with bad QC on their MPM-03. I purchased 2, one is practically flawless whilst the other has chipped paint. What's worst is that a screw had been over tightened and come through the plastic of the door. Fortunately my seller is sending out some parts. However both transform fine and have great joints. IMO MPM-03 looks and feels like real quality.

Picked him up today (surprised to find him in stock).

Hasbro version. Can echo the quality control statements, and that the instructions are pretty shite. Mine has some chipped paint on the trunk area, screw on one the of the bottom mini-wings was loose, and one of the plastic pieces wrapped around a pin is split.
Also, right forearm won't tab into the hand without popping out.

Other than that, I think he looks great.

Those saying the colour looks much better in person weren't lying.

Also, the guy claiming the head doesn't turn probably didn't move the collar plates out of the way, or his neck is just a little stiff like mine was.

I emailed Anime Export's customer service a while back and they told me they wouldn't be carrying the MPM's. As far as I'm aware, neither of them were ever available there.

I prefer the eyes on Hasbro's release. Even though the clear blue paint is a little too dark for the light piping to work well, it looks much better than TakaraTomy's unpainted eyes.

It looks like Bee is staring into your soul.

TakaraTomy's distribution of the MPM-3 is a little different from regular TFs for some reason.

Small online retailers like NY and AE aren't carrying it. Even big player Amazon JP doesn't have it available (Amazon themselves and not 3rd party sellers). At stores that do carry it, stocks also seems very limited and pre-orders sold out in a very short time.

The degree of his transparent eyes is slowly entering meme territory

Also, thought this was an @Arduous pic for a second. Nicely done

TRU finally got this guy into my hands tonight. No issues with mine. Some joints were very stiff which made the first transformation a bit scary but now that he's loosened up, I can say this thing is magic. Absolutely love it.

Your username would've been perfect if you received one with QC issues

Hope we get a 2nd run of these figures later to fix those QC issues, well,n only if the first sells quite good, technically they're using us as their experiment's mouse.

First Japanese run seems to be totally QC issue free. Tight joints, no balancing issues, good paint applications.
