Just looking at the design, Generation Toys GT-10 should've been their Headmaster Apeface.

 

I was actually there yesterday and enjoyed myself. I'm one of those stick in the mud geeks who is pretty loyal to Hasbro official product and rarely if ever dip into 3rd Party. So I felt like I was cheating on my girlfriend a bit yesterday looking at some pretty damn good stuff. The Chosen Prime owners were really nice and I dipped into forbidden territory getting MMC Dicamus and Planet X Jupiter. Damn these are fun and well made.

Anyway the panel did feel like a lot of stuff we have seen a lot of before. Still fun but I'm expecting more at SDCC to get me psyched for Transformers.

There is some 'standalone' Optimus from Giga Toys or something that had a slide for a half second. Didn't know about Planet X Magnus! Now I feel I need him. Anyway thanks to the fans who put this together, it was a cool scene. I'm thrilled I got to see the Swedish Chef voice audition for Ultra Magnus

Page 10 in the Monolith thread has a picture of cab-only Gravestone - so that might be the standalone Motormaster and trailer might be the extra pieces for Menasor

MMC usually has an unexpected figure at the end of the show just like how Callidus just showed up from nowhere. Anyone seen anything yet.

 

I'd like to see 3P explore other areas in earnest. G1 is starting to feel redundant. There is a lot of IDW stuff, but it tends not to call to me since I don't read it.

How about some Beast Wars? I know there has been some BW era stuff. However, the choices have been odd with just some Vehicons and an Optimal Optimus. I'd love to see some Transmetals or Fuzors. Hasbro may get to an MP Silverbolt, but I don't expect the other Fuzors or any Transmetals.

I'd also like to see some Movie designs from the likes of FT or MMC. Blackout is at the top of my list. Sideswipe is also high on the list. Would also love to see MP level dinobots.

 

I think I'm burned out by the recent preponderance of MP-detail Countaches.

 

What is that Myseterious Superion? It looks like the CW version, but every figure got an upgrade kit reshell?

 

It's an oversized Ko cw superion, I actually thought it was new, but the remolding was done to a point where you couldn't tell it was cw superion.

 

Exactly how I feel about BW. Which is why I love those Headmaster designs and my FT Lupus. If only HM or BW had these bots more it would be so much better. Even Powerglide looks good. Who's making toys based on this? Hopefully someone that care about detail and posability.
