At least the price is reasonable, and it looks like it includes most (if not all) of the stupid bonus pieces that Takara feels is appropriate to inflate the official price. Seriously, for the Takara price, I'd expect some lights and sound clips...  

I'm not too keen on the other 3P choices, and Takara is price gouging the fans, so this one looks like a contender to me. I assume they won't paint the hell out of it and allow it to scrape like crazy by having moving parts rub against said paint (we'll leave that to the professional toy companies?  ).

Personally speaking, though? F*CK MP. I'd rather get a Voyager scale. I'm far too invested in my CHUG collection to just toss it all for Barbie-doll-scaled TFs!  

And if the alt mode is super-sized (as it appears to be), I would have loved it if Weijiang made Megs a DESERT EAGLE!

Well this is oversized while Mightron is not. I can deal with Migtron's legs. I think someone even made some leg covers available for it. Plus I know Mightron is super durable and sturdy unlike Apollyon. Not to mention Mightron can be bought for around $100 shipped now. The only thing keeping from pulling the trigger on Mightron is the back kibble, lack of stock/silencer, and the look of the hands.

 

Yeah but those leg covers add 30 dollars to the figure. I dont like the way his back looks either but once hes on the shelf I dont think I'll ever really see it.

They're pretty close to Apollyon's feet I think. This guy seems to be a mash-up of almost all the current MP scale figures, blown up to MPP-10 size. Honestly, it's pretty much the only G1'ish Megatron we're ever likely to see at this scale, so I'm just happy he looks as good as he does.

 

Looks so much better. Face and crotch.

Man, what I would give to be locked up in Toy Dojo's warehouse on night or one of the suppliers. Like a pig in the mud.

 

I hope a KO company makes an MP sized version of this ASAP. My favorite looking MP styled Megs thus far.

I got to see the unpainted prototype today and in person, the feet don't seem to bother me as much as it does in the pictures. I think they got him in a better pose today than in previous pictures, but I wish the mind control helmet wasn't on. Anyway, I'll reserve judgement until we see the painted figure. I also took a picture of the detailing on his back if any of you are curious.
