XTBs Snapdragon's wings really should be longer/wider. They are so small compared to the image.

 

There's a couple of moments in The Rebirth where we see their jet modes.

So this fig pleasantly surprised, but after Maketoys Downbeat and now this guy, was curious if there is ANYONE who is actually team 'swirly grey plastic'?? ... seems like the quickest way to alienate the 3P fandom at this point ...

Ok, just got this guy in the mail. Looks great so far. Light years ahead of Keith's cassettes I purchased years back. Question though: how in the heck do you get this guy to hold his guns? The more and more I deal with these types of figures, the more I LOVE Maketoys sliding weapon mechanism. These overly articulated hands are for the birds.

EDIT: I should add, my figure came via Rub. Batteries already installed in guns.

 

Answer: YES! I just got the figure back today. TFSource has been a great vendor to me when issues arise and this was no different. I hope that my issue was a one-off and no one else has this issue.

 

Thanks to all who replied to my original query with suggestions. Kingorilla is back on my shelf and lookin' good.

On a side note, I know that KFC hands catch a lot of flack, and on some figures they are kind of weak (e.g. Paean, Aegis, Ditka). But the hands on this guy are perfect--Like a smaller version of the Ultra Magnus hands, which were also awesome. They look very cool, are sturdy, and hold poses well. I hope they continue with this concept on future projects...

It looks like Simba's hands may be similar to this as well.

 

OK, I'm in the left gun pegging in club now. Woo hoo!!! Honestly, love headmasters and this guy fits the bill for me. Pity people are passing on this guy because of KFC. This guy seems better than Lupus (and yes, I own both).

I did try to revisit the rebirth episodes but can't find anything substantial and about to conclude that there is no symbols for apeface in spaceship mode until I saw David's post, which I believe is not under the rebirth episodes. Thanks for your suggestion! It does help me to observe the characters as well!

 

Wow! This helps a lot. I can't see how much clearer it can be already even though you mentioned that your PC is inferior at DVD screen. This screen shot will do already and I'll be taking this as my reference for the symbols for spaceship mode!
