TR blitzwing, 'nuff said

 

I just picked up TR Blitzwing from a nearby Target. They had Octone there too but I decided to just stick with Blitzwing.

 

I pre-ordered Octone and Misfire from BBTS, I also got RiD2.0 Deployer Overload and on ebay I got Badcube Brawny for 40 bucks! MISP

Handy use of his 'scrapped' gimmick.

This guy looks magnificent in both modes, but the transformation is absolutely atrocious. It's quite well-engineered, but as a fair warning, his head and turbine caps are better left as partsforming bits for the sake of the conversion. They'll go back on just fine, but holy buckets of diarrhea, Batman(!) they're not friendly through conversions.

 

Started to get back into collecting transformers. got both of these for 40$

 

XTB Eligos and MMC Artifex.

 

How is artifex

 

I like him, but he has his flaws. The worst one is that his backpack/trailer doesn't plug in in alt mode.
XTB's Hoist, though not to my taste, has a better headsculpt. I might switch back to the toy accurate one (that's the one he comes with out of the box).
The bit that tabs in just below the knee doesn't tab in well on the right leg.
It had the floppy ankle, but floor polished managed to fix it nicely.

I wanted to get this one in January, but had some doubts. Nabbed him now, and I'm happy with my purchase, but I do have to say that he's a step down from Sphinx.

 

I was all set to get the xtb one until I read @Maz '_s review of artifex. Heard the floppy ankle is common and good to know its fixable

 

Yeah,@Maz 's review ultimately convinced me. Though I would be grateful if he told us how he managed to get that trailer pegged in   (I think it depends on how you transform the legs, but that's just a guess).

 

Possibly. He had a problem with the hood in vehicle mode

 

Damn, that Cyclonus looks like he just step out from the Sunbow screen especially the jetmode, love it. The face maybe a midget off...but still looks good overall. Don't know if the silver paint will make it looks better or not.

 

Last couple of days arrivals. Assaulter there is a heavy sod, all in the lower half, Winbdblade looks great in bot mode - although TF Windblade has a far better face - but is a bit finicky and floppy in alt-mode, the ball joints at the top of Hounds legs are loose as hell but he's ace and I bloody LOVE Mindwipe! He's my one exception to the 'no Baybots' rule, because he's just THAT cool. Animated Blurr is soon to be butchered into an IDW Chromedome.

 

the sword is pointing to the spot where his chest plate tabs in under his armpits. This keeps his chest plate from wiggling like crazy. now not so bad.

 

I don't recall having any problems with Artifex's hood, but I did with Terraegis.

Oh God you're absolutely right, when you wrote 'hood' I heard 'roof'. I struggled with Terraegis' roof. Yes you are correct, I could not get the hood to sit flush against the grille.

Last Knight Deluxe Megatron & Skullitron came from Toysrus.com and Voyager Megatron & Hound arrived from Bigbadtoystore
