Why is everyone panicking over online sell outs? Had the issues with the Chaos on Velocitron and Siege on Cybertron caused so much trauma?
I wonder if this will eventually end up at discount retailers during Christmas time. I'll wait and see.
Possibly, or they really mean "mine's fine". Same thing could be said for "mine's broken" people, too, one breaks and suddenly a whole bunch of people go straight to "they're all broken!" sometimes without even handling the toy themselves. Like I said, once they hit major retailers and more people have them in hand, we'll see what happens. I don't have links, and I don't care enough to find specific examples. I remember there's a few buried among the panic in that Seibertron post with the fix, so you can maybe dig some out of there? Anyway, in your case, keeping a toy on a shelf and being afraid to touch it and test it out for yourself is crazy, dude. If you're really worried about breaking it, open up the toy and do the fix or box it back up and return it.
It could, but to me Tryp feels way more popular than Ft. Maxx was. Mainly because he was a repaint. I can see Hasbro being slick and making another cheap Deathsaurus remold out of Trypticon and having the same circumstances as Fort Maxx. Probably more.
I got mine today. So far it doesn\'t have to have the issue (ratchet hips joints are hard, but not at the level \"looks like he\'s going to break from how much is hard to move\" hard) None the less, I don\'t want to take the risk, since I got mine on Ebay (here in Italy I don\'t even know if he\'ll ever be released) and I don\'t know how I should handle a return or a ticket to Hasbro, so I\'m going to purchase tomorrow a couple of alternative springs.
Mine broke when I hit the pre-order button. Damn fragile figures. I guess some people just want for display, others do what they will. If there is a known issue, the information can be used to take caution when handling it.
You mean like fortmax at ross? Heh good luck trying to get one. I hunted everyday for a week and wasn't alone coming out empty handed
Emgo and Optibotimus confirmed that the hips are widespread issue from their reviews. Pretty sad Hasbro bombed on the QC
Yeah, I saw Obtibotimus's review last night. And he basically defended it saying he just cut a spring in half but I haven't gotten to Emgo's yet. Pretty disappointing...
I'm just hoping there's no major repercussions due to this leg/hip problem. Between Bayformer's figures shelf warming at retail in my area and the possibility of Tryp getting a lot of returns. This could impact TF's future at some retail stores. Heck, Walmart's TF distribution in my area has been terrible this year already.
I'm kind of lucky. I actually found FortMax at Ross... TWO of em! Gave one to a friend who almost begged me for it. ...and he posts on this forum.
Lucky bastard!!!!! Nice score. Yes, but sad day for us on the west coast trying to get a city bot for under fiddy at retail is tough. Fyi, associate told me Walmart is doing their stock reset on aug7. Not sure if that specific date is for all stores, but I imagine they are all doing it around this time.
