I've seen some posts on here from some people saying Megatron was once again weak in TLK, I totally disagree in my opinion. It was something like six Autobots fighting Megatron on Cyberton as Barricade and co were left at Stonehenge but he still manages to hold his own, then even gets his fusion cannon arm cut off by Optimus but still manages to headbutt him and pin Optimus's sword against his neck ready to kill him?

I'd call that a badass if anything!! Shows how powerful Megatron really can be. Fair enough he could have done more but nowhere near would I say Megatron was weak in TLK.

I liked how imposing his fusion cannon was alone. It really felt like that 10 Firepower spec on the back of his older movie toy boxes means something. I especially remember when he used it to fire at Hound in the junkyard and everything just went up in flames.

Nah, Megatron was the only actually threatening Decepticon in the entire film.

Those moments showed promise, but for the rest of the movie he was pure joke.

I will say that Megatron definitely showed resistance that mirrors his first movie self. However he didn't really do much that makes me believe him as a threat besides kill a human, an old human at that. Definitely had the most potential since ROTF.

I don't know about that. I feel like he was a bigger threat as Galvatron then we saw him here. He went toe to toe with prime and kept on getting back up. Prime just couldn't put him down and prime was beginning to wear out.

Granted in TLK he took on all the autobots at once but the point still stands. He appears like a push over in the rest of the film. Atleast Galvatron HAD a decent fight scene.

I agree with you Megs is pretty cool in this one. The real issue is the length of the fight so while Megatron was strong the fight just like the rest in the movie don't last long.

Something all of TLK lacked. I'm sure Megatron would've thrown down like he did as Galvatron but alas, it is not written as so.

He didn't so much fight six Autobots as get slapped around by six Autobots. If the fight was going evenly for them I'd say it was impressive, but he was almost totally ineffective. Hell, Edmund Burton's cane gun made him flop like a fish from like one hit.

They tells us that he's scary but show us otherwise.
He's shown "negotiating" with punny humans and Lennox doesn't really seem to be phase by him.
His Fusion canon doesn't even kill Hound.
A small girl is running up to him shouting she's not afraid of him.
He "bitch slap" Optimus from the back, takes the staff and bolts like a looney toon villain.
    Takes order from Quintessa.
Is this really the might Megatron Leader of the Decepticons. If no one in the movies respect or is afraid of him, why should we.

Compared that the 1st movie, as soon as he's online, things just hit the fan.
He leads the chase and sieges the town. The combine forces of the Autobot cant take him on.
Kills Jazz and beat the crap out of Optimus.

Though IMO it's probably the best designed version of life action Megatron and Welker does a good job voicing him. "Today we hunt " line was so bad ass.

To be fair, Hound is one of the stronger Autobots and because he's "fat". He's also known to be able to take some punishment like AOE where he a ksi drone was shooting point blank at him he also tanked a missile or 2 from that KSI boss. And to be fair there is not much you can do when you have to stand up against the likes of Grimlock.

And by that time it was generally known that humans were just as capable of killing decepticons like autobots do.

Megs was not alone tho, he's with Nitro.
    they fought 4 autobots (Prime,Bee,Rod,Hound)
i think Megs is strong in this movie but was not properly used.

So all he was able to do was the exact same stuff that happened back in the first film when Prime plus the military couldn't put Megatron down and Prime decided the suicide option was the only way to even deny Megatron the cube.

If anything I think he was weak, but only in the mind. Quintessa turned him into a pushover and used his desire to be a king against him. Physically, however, he was a beast.

Well to be fair, Lennox dealt with Decepticons before and Izabella is stubborn. The lawyers on the other hand were practically terrified, especially after Lennox's comment.

As for taking orders from Quintessa, my guess is that he was brainwashed much like Optimus. He did have the same red mark on his face.

Errr, i think wasn't clear in my point. Its not about how or why those characters are not afraid or able to take on Megatron . Its more about how he's used/portrayed in the movie.
Its visual story telling. One of reason we are afraid in horror movies is because in part, the character inhabiting that world are also afraid of the villain. It doesn't work if the movie itself goes against it.

Maybe he borrowed a bit of that G1 invincibility the characters had before the movie. :lol

I'll take the BS over not having Hound, any day. He's one of the absolute best Transformers characters, period.

Yes. He was. If Optimus can easily slaughter multiple Decepticons in an 1 v many scenario I don't know why Megatron can't do the same with Autobots.

He was only ever threatening in the first movie and even some of the fourth movie because he at least had pseudo-immortality going for him.
