Oh, ok then. But you're right, any continuity this series had died a long time ago. The Megatron/Galvatron between AoE and TLK situation destroys continuity. the magic appearance/disappearance of bots destroys continuity. The applspark/creator/quintessa mess about who created the transformers destroys continuity. The seed Optimus was carrying disappearing between films DESTROYS CONTINUITY. Oh ,and logic peels away at the movie series's continuity. Arichiblad Witwicky, a man whose history is tied to the order of witiwiccans, just happens to be the guy who finds the Megatron frozen in the arctic. What, BEE'S BEEN HERE SINCE WORLDF WAR 2? And was helping the allies? Why wasn't looking for the allspark his top priority back then. And Sector Seven and the Witiccans- two groups with obviously opposing goals, never ran across each other during the twentieth century? The Witwiccans never helped with the search for the allspark? These guys knew about Bee, and never came forward to help Optimus and Co. after the incident at the Dam, and the battle of Mission city? Cemetery Wind totally missed Hot rod, Cogman, and all those old transformers at the castle? What about the seekers the fallen had abandoned on earth, no Witwiccan ever tried to make contact with them? These movies cannot exist in the same universe with any form of narrative cohesion.

In regards to the movies- they're a bit bitter aren't they? Remember the tagline of the first movie: Their War. Our World.

Now we find out that our world is actually Unicron, our moon has possibly been destroyed & replaced by Cybertron (again going on reports I've heard), and the TFs have all but shaped all of human history.

It's no longer our world, our moon or even our history anymore. It seems like the overriding theme of the movies is that the more we keep in contact with the TFs, the more we lose. And that's kind of pessimistic.

The next movie, they'll kill our sun & replace it with something else. Or something equally devastating.

Yeah, but next time they'll actually do it! Gotta raise those stakes & show people that they're not afraid to wreck the status quo!

We'll end up with a green sun or something. It'll be crazy. Every shot in every movie afterwards will have to CG the sky to be a different color. :p

Pretty much the core of why I think they should just go full-on post-apocalyptic now.

Yeah movie goers aren't coming back. The bayverse put the taste of foot in movie goers mouths for transformers. Radical changes are necessary.

First of all Bay said he was leaving two movies ago and he's still here. The man has lied during the course of all five movies so why are people still trusting what he says? I'm not believing that he's really leaving till I actually see a movie he's not attached to. And considering there are still plans for more sequels I highly doubt that he's actually stepping down.

Secondly what iconic recognizable cast? One of the main complaints about Bayformers is that they aren't recognizable as the characters they're suppose to be. Optimus, Sound wave, and Shockwave are really the only recognizable characters across five movies. Everyone else basically look like they belong to totally different franchises.

Wheeljack was never in the movies. The chacter who would have been Wheeljack was changed to Que in the final movie. Why do people insist on calling him Wheeljack? That's like calling Blackout Vortex. Wheeljack was a name taken from an old draft of Dark of the Moon that never actually made it to the movie. His name is Que, not Wheeljack.

Finally at one point you said we don't need a reboot which is a complete contradiction from everything else you've said. What you are talking about, starting over from scratch, not continuing in the Bay verse, that is the very definition of a reboot. Without a reboot it would just be another sequel set in this same continuity, exactly what you spent the majority of this post saying you don't want.

Other than that, I totally agree. Like him or not the Bay verse has been going on for ten years now. Even though I can at least tolerate them, they aren't the worst movies, they're bad but they could be worse. They are basically the same damn thing every time. It's getting boring. There's only so many times I can see Megatron playing second fiddle to whoever the main villain ends up being. They've gotten predictable. Start fresh with new everything and hopefully we can finally get something fans have dreaming of for 30+ years and the general audience can actually get an actual story out of it.

If you read here; Bumblebee movie as an escape hatch? I'm all for using the Bumblebee movie to 'kelvin timeline' this whole mess, instead of a total reboot. Start from Optimus and his team arriving in 1985, and go from there. And I can totally see them booting bay now, studios don't like to lose this much money fro ma proven cash cow.

After TLK there isn't one, so there is nothing to end.

If you honestly thought we were going to see Unicron in his full glory, you were sorta foolish. He would take up a lot of time to animate, not to mention he would be pretty expensive and we would end up getting less screen time with the Autobots and Decepticons. I'm not surprised that they've gone this route.

Earth being unicron is really just a great example of how this series has backed itself into a corner.

I never thought we would actually see him like that, but with the earth being unicorn we see even less.

It's clear paramount isn't giving this "continuity" up. So here's all I ask if they ever come across this site and this post:

    Pleeease make the writing cohesive.
Pleeease drop the one liners for robots
Pleeease make a decent fight scene
Pleeease don't produce a film like TLK again.

    O
By this logic, Transformers Prime backed itself into a corner when Earrh was revealed to be Unicron at the end of the first season.
