You mean $87. He's on sale for $124, and you then ALSO save "an additional 30% at checkout", which brings him down to about $87.

How do you get an additional 30% off at checkout?

When you go to the item page, it'll have that light blue "Prime Deal" box, and it should have the "save 30%" note next to it.
Add the item to your cart (make sure you select the one that's "sold and shipped by Amazon"), then in the checkout process, you will see the price drop.
You can test it out if you'd like - you can see the price drop before you complete the checkout process to know exactly how much you'd be spending.

That's a good deal even after tax. Wish I didn't pay full price when it first came out.

I just checked out and saw the discount. Still $92.80 after tax. You can find it much cheaper on ebay.

That's how ya post a deal! :thumb  Quick explanation, nice screen shots, I can see the price clearly.
The only thing you could add (next time) is a link to the item, so that TFW2005 could get some of that sweet, sweet referral $$$! :D

TRU is REALLY trying to get you to buy TFs, guys...
    TRU discounts.png
Save $5 off your Transformers movie action figures and role play purchase of $25 or more
Online offer: At least 1 item added to cart must be $5 or greater for maximum discount to apply. Must add to cart a minimum of $25 or more of eligible items for discount to apply. This promotion does not combine with others.
    HOW IT WORKS
Online offer: At least 1 item added to cart must be $5 or greater for maximum discount to apply

Must add to cart a minimum of $25 or more of eligible items for discount to apply

Maximum 1 discount per order. This promotion does not combine with others

It actually stacks (sort of) with the 20% promo. So, if you got 2 RID fig's, your total would look like this...
    TRU promo.png
If you buy a higher priced item (like Fort Max or Blaster), however, it looks like only the $5 discount activates (no 20% off :( ). I'm thinking this is why TRU doesn't usually do so many discounts at once? :lol
Also, I'm not sure why I'm even posting, considering how awful their selection is (unless you need to army build some Scourges). :rolleyes2  It freakin' kills me when they do this and don't have anything decent in stock! :lol

Yeah, it'd be great if they actually had anything...or anything in stock, for that matter.

FYI, by the way, the $5 off a Transformer purchase and the 20% off do not stack.

Yes and no. You can't get 20% off an item AND $5 off on the SAME item. But if you add multiple items to your cart (meeting the $25 minimum), you will get the $5 off one item and 20% off the rest.

Please stop being so pushy about other people's posts in here. Yes, it's nice to be fully informed about a sale or deal, but there's no need to critique every post that does or does not meet your requirements. The important thing is that people share what they find. If we have to do a little extra investigating or ask the poster to follow up, then so be it. It's not the end of the world.

This actually sucks cuz 20% off is a way better deal than the 5$ off and it nullifies it on most transformers, making the 20% deal a huge hassle. I was all set to make a big TF purchase but that deal ruined it :(

Exactly. If I see a deal that I'm not interested in, I'll post info on here and go on my way. I'm not going to add something to my cart, go through signing in, adding the coupon code to my cart just to verify the deal... people can grow a pair if they think others should have to cater to their wants and not have to do "work".

Prime Day Deal for Covenant of Primus: 33$. Considering the giant autobot logo and a book containing much of the desire direction for the lore... seems nifty.
Various Rescue Bots are marked at 15$, and get a 30% discount at checkout.
Movies get 10% discount, it seems.

All in all doesn't seem like there's much worthwhile here.

The $20 you buy at GameStop (or any of the eligible stores) works the same way as any Amazon gift card applied to your account. No restrictions on use based on where you bought it.

I've never been bothered in the slightest bybsomeone posting a quick heads up on a potential deal. I'm a big boy, and I'm capable of spending a couple minutes looking into something myself. Especially on a site that I never, or rarely check.

Yeah, but enthusiasm for posting is NOT a deal. :(  The problem I'm seeing is more enthusiasm than diligence. If everyone was so enthusiastic about every ad they saw, this thread would be CLUTTERED with useless ads and no deals.

Plus, some people have short time on their hands - do you really think we should ask everyone to investigate every post?

I am suggesting we carefully post in order to avoid wasting people's time. If you disagree with that, that's fine. I can start linking every TRU ad I THINK has a TF in it! :lol  Then you guys can check it for me. Every week.

Dude, I spend 30 minutes on some posts, making them fancy and easier to read. I take the time to answer any questions I feel people will ask, BEFORE they ask, in that post. But you're saying that effort doesn't matter because ANY DEAL POST is good enough? Yeah, no. I think you guys should block me instead: everyone wins. I can post a complaint about a bad "deal", and you guys don't have to read it. And you don't have to read the posts I spend hours of time to make for you, too! :thumb  I commend people for taking more than 5 minutes to post a deal; if you don't see the value in checking the deal FIRST and posting properly? Well.
