I'm hoping mine will be waiting at home for me today despite no tracking info or emails. These latets pics are killing me! I could just stop looking at the thread I suppose.  

 

Mine says shipped now, no idea when the status changed though since I was only paying attention to the tracking number field. Keeping my fingers crossed he arrives this week.

 

Just a quick question, is the voyager mold considered the best compared to the leader class mold of the tlk megatron figure? TIA

 

That depends on a lot of factors. The leader mold has the mask gimmick and he's bigger. And his jet mode is a lot sleeker. The voyager mold has less back kibble and his proportions look better in my opinion. From the reviews I've seen, the leader class one is kinda fiddly to transform while the voyager is fun and intuitive.

 

Just to clarify: there are 2 KOs of this --- the OS Wei Jiang with the red chest and the regular-sized non-OS KO.

And Wei Jiang has two versions to boot --- a red and silver chest?

Are these correct?

 

First time I've seen the one on the right. Based on the colors, yep it's different from the OS KO that we've all been seeing. Better wait for SirToys for more pics/info (unless a TF-Direct person can chime in).

 

I don't think they will honestly, they really don't weigh much at all, like I said I didn't even notice that they were until I accidentally tapped them against my desk and it made a little"ding" sound.  

 

It's an amazing place, first time I visited I kinda stood there in awe for a minute. I've never seen so many 3rd party figures in my life.   If you're ever in Austin TX I highly recommend you stop by there.

I sent an email to Tf-Direct about the variant and got this response: (this pertains to their second batch)

"Yeah, the first batch indeed is a red chest.

But the manufacturer want to restore the image of Megatron better, so from the second batch on, they changed the color of chest and sword, just like the picture shown on our website"

 

Smart use of the wrist swivel and hinge to make him hold the sword diagonally/at an angle

 

Any chance weijiang can make an add on kit here by making a leader class head compatible wth this one?

I have one on the way from Sirtoys, along with a couple of WJ's diecast dinobots. The fact they started with this, instead of Optimus, makes me think they may be reworking stuff on it. Like they did for Evasion Optimus. I'm really curious what they'll do with it. I wouldn't mind paying more for that Optimus, if it has a crazy paint job.

 

Gosh, I'm loving this guy. The red chest may go in the future and a battle mask'll probably get fabricated at some point but Christ he's great.

 

Nice to finally see pictures where he isn't over-saturated with color and actually looks like Ben's video review.

Mine is due to arrive by Monday with silver chest and sword.
