I can't fathom why there is no third party Leozack. It's the toy we need!

 

I'm a little baffled that we haven't gotten KOs of the more desirable limbs like Roller, Ratchet and to a lesser extent the Takara Blast Off.

Make a deluxe Leozack and Jaguar and I'll buy the Platinum Liokaiser. Do a heavy Vortex remold as Deathcobra and sell them as a three pack.

 

With some forethought a company could made a Deluxe Leozack and Jaugar that become a CW torso. Then remold Leozack into Wing and replace Jaguar with Waver!

 

Someone still needs to make a Motormaster trailer.

Once you KO an Astrotrain remolds and recolors could potentially include Sentinel Prime, Mach, Raker, Spay-C, Galaxy Shuttle, Star Dasher..

 

KBB made a scale accurate CW/UW Megatron KO. No up- or downscaling. What's stopping them (or any high-end KO-company) to knock-off higly sought after CW/UW-figures in the correct scale? The oversized versions don't interest me at all.

Skip the die-cast and give us a reasonable price point instead.

It is easier to get away with mass-produced KOs that are up or down sized, because Chinese IP laws see that as something original in the design. If it was the same size it would be harder to argue it is even slightly original.

I agree, although ... I have UW Blast Off, he kind of sux IMHO. I think it would be cool for a company to come along and do a better brand-new version.

In retrospect, the CW combiner were massive fixer uppers. I've sold all but Bruticus and Superion. Then, they went lazy with using a jet Blastoff and Helicopter Aerialbot just because of repaint potential.

If PE had not have came to the rescue, I would've sold them, too.

 

If the intiative was there, I think they'd be better off just designing a new Ironhide/Ratchet that works as a Combiner Wars limb and looks more like the G1 character/s. It's not like CW Deluxes were terribly complicated in design lol.

But I guess they're all busy chasing the MP train.

 

Yeah, I figured the scale wizardry was to circumvent some legal issue. But then again...we have seen many quality KO's in authentic scale like MP10, MP Soundwave etc. Maybe some slight mold changes would do just as well as size shifting.

Of all the CW/UW-figures knock-off they choose a non-combining one.
And it looks just like regular Megatron with some diecast and additional movement in the canon barrel, they even KO'd a upgrade kit to go with it.

I would happily buy KO's of Quickslinger/G2 Blast Off, TT Movor/Shuttler as well as new molds or even simple remolds (if good).

I'd be willing to pay upwards $50 including shipping, but not much more.

I'd rather have the "Bayformer crap" that you mentioned and MP combiners. Why pay a bunch of money to upgrade figures that aren't that great to begin with? The best combiner I own is 3rd party Feral Rex, I definitely got my money's worth with that figure. The CWs I do have or UWs I mean, I basically asked for them as gifts cuz I didn't wanna feel like I got robbed spending my own money on them. They all stay in bot mode as I'm not a fan of any of them combined beside maybe Devastator.

 

The guys who do not change scale run the risk of being shut down. That is the chance they take. Probably companies like Wei Jiang have legit products too and don't want to risk it.

 

Still waiting for a decent 3P Motormaster which is compatible with the CW limbs.

 

Man a lot of the ideas in here are just awesome thus far.

It really comes down to the fact that no one is doing CHUG figures that match the main line any more... there is a market for this and I'm not sure why its not being taken advantage of yet.

Personally I'm wanting a Cog/Gromit for FortMax. And Several Bodies for the extra Titan Masters.
Would also have loved to see a Raiden out of TP Combiner wars based on the same ports.

Where are these companies? I know that MP makes money, but CHUG 3P was making money well before MP. There is a lot of area/money still to mine here.... Especially if you partially sync up with the current gimmick (combiner/master) lines. So many missing characters to make still!
