Last I checked, folks were speculating that this was leftover Walgreens stock so this might be news!

While this creates regret for all of the Walgreens stops that I made to find mine (more than I care to admit), I am happy for the folks outside of the US who will be able to get him at a reasonable price.

 

I have a wholesale account with EE Distribution, though I don't really order from them anymore.

Beyond that, it wouldn't be appropriate to share the specific correspondence.

Or just go to Walgreens. They have 100 of them on the pegs.

 

If Hasbro was going to re-distribute Brainstorm...why not shove him as the fourth member of Wave 5? It's weird they'd do a straight re-release of Wolfwire instead of this guy or even a repaint.

(Speaking of which, did they cancel that rumored "Carnivac"? Seems like he'd have worked as the Breakaway/Krok/Quake style repaint to pad out a case.)

 

Maybe for you, but he's pretty much vanished here and was a hard one to come across. Him and Marvel Legends Punisher sold very well. We still have Darth Vaders, Ant Mans, Yellow Daredevils, Namors clogging the pegs/shelves.

Plus, not everyone has a Walgreens in their area, so this only helps.

 

Can't cancel something that was never officially announced. We'll have to wait until SDCC or Hascon to find out what the rest of Titans Return looks like.

My guess about Brainstorm though is that Hasbro already produced him in solid cases, so they weren't going to break them up to fill out other waves.

 

Given all the people with broken hinges on Wolfwire, rereleasing him with no changes is actually pretty shrewd.

 

WAS a Walgreen's exclusive. This product has now been offered to other retailers/distributors by Hasbro.

 

Because then he'd just be one per case and still relatively difficult to find.

These solid case packs are generally meant for specialty market stores anyway, it's not like TRU and Wal-Mart is going to be stocking up on Brainstorm figures.

 

Okay that's actually a pretty good reason for a straight re-release. Especially if they've tweaked the mold to try and resolve it (as they did with adjustments to Motormaster during CW and corrections to the combiner neck on the jet torso)

Truish. But at the same time people who missed out on him the first time would have an opportunity to get him with three other new characters they'd potentially be buying anyway.

And from an online perspective, BBTS now has a somewhat still desirable figure that would justify breaking up the Wave 5 case to sell singles.

 

Yeah I personally plan to grab another Wolfwire to see if the hinges are more durable. It's entirely possible they've fixed it, it could have been as simple as a new plastic mix that's a bit stronger.

awesome being walgreens exclusive meant I had zero chance without shopping with a 3rd party hopfully this influx will take the edge off the prices I've seen.

 

I don't get it. He's STILL on Walgreens website in stock. Just order him if you want him. He's not elusive like the TR boxed sets..
