I have Optimus but not interested in UM, I really just want Megatron next and that will be it....

I would need a museum to show off all these extra large figures... really don't have the room for these guys and all my other stuff...

Plus i wish they would have added some pieces to bulk up UM's thigh size... he's got twigs for thighs and huge calves LOL...

At least if it's left on your doorstep, no one will know what you ordered... oh wait...

And I can sadly (somehow understand why though) confirm that the Magnus armor is, in fact, plastic.

    But man, what a figure!

An hour and a half later, I can honestly say that I really don't mind the plastic armor. And I believe I was right, there's simply no way this mold (Prime) could hold all that double metal had it been otherwise.

The sounds are merely gun sounds, laser sounds, etc sounds. No Stack.

The head is swappable, and the only things you actually need to remove from white Prime are the faction symbol and the smoke stacks. It's the same base, there's two guns, one is Prime's and the other one is Magnus'. I thought prime's gun actually transformed into UM's but no.

Eyes light up (no batteries included, and the extra ones I bought for UM01 are now crap. It's been that long). And the facesculpt is actually QUITE NICE.

The proportions might seem exaggerated but they are just right in person. Much like a big MP Magnus.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with it. To me , it is the ultimate representation of Magnus.

    Bring out Megatron now!!

i had ultimetal prime and always felt like magnus' proportions were way off. his legs are way too thick relative to the rest of his body and arms imo, but glad for those that like his aesthetics!

i'm still super curious to see how the heads are swapped - does that mean prime's head is missing the voice and moveable mouth plate feature?

This has the color that MP Magnus is sorely missing. It looks amazing.

Great question. Having UM-01 I only glimpsed through the instructions, and didn't really pay attention to the old prime sounds (if it has them) or the movable mouth. I doubt it, as I don't believe UM-01's head can be removed.

It simply pops off, and you put UM's on. It locks in place nice and tight.

Good grief, that thing is ginormous! I remembered wifey was complaining about my MP22 box and toy size long time ago, I can't even imagine if she see me obtaining UM-02. That will freak her out so dramatically, lol.

Whooo, that beast UM looks magnificent! LOve the shot w/ him holding gun, kind remind of the wild west/ cowboy era, lol. For a requested pic, I want that same armor posture with the white Magnus head just to see how he looks. Also, the shot with MP22 is funny too, it's like who the shorty now. I thought MP22 was a beast, but this UM-02 is even more huge. Congrats man!

    A 1000 dollar toy.

Well, this is the pinnacle of Japanese mecha toys as it is >50% diecast with full clean paint.

However, I still prefer the ThreeZero/ThreeA approach for premium scale mecha toys: <500 USD, 40-50cm tall, full paint and weathered.

I know that Japanese(Fewture etc) prefer full clean gloss paint. Japanese usually don't make toys >30cm tall due to space issues.

I messed around with the 3z movie optimus and it was ok but it almost felt like it was made of styrofoam or something. I also prefer the clean look over weathered but if that's your preference I think Art Storm (Not the subsidiarity Fewture) is doing a battle damaged u.m. prime with that paint styling.

I thought that was going to be an add-on set?

Am I going to have to spend 1K again?

    Ok.

TBH, I'd sell my MP collection before I sell any of my UM figures if that day came. I'd do whatever is in my power to keep them, they are that good.
