First one in Chicago, Steelbane I think. Skullitron and two others on the ship. We didn't see the Red Knight among them.

 

I had wondered why they never showed the Red Knight's face?

 

"12 guardian Knigts combine/combined into a mighty dragon to protect it"(it shows Dragonstorm flying in the clouds)It's the scene after he tells Cade and Vivian about Merlin's tomb and the staff is there with his body.

 

I saw the red knight with them. It was a brief second and i cant remember exactly when but i know i saw him transform into dragonstorm with the remaining 7 knights. Steelbane, Skullitron, and two random knights died. 12 minus 4 is 8.

 

The red Knight was in present day. He was shown when Bee aid "They all messed up"

I don't understand...how did Steelbane end up in Chicago? I actually thought it was one of the Decepticons from DOTM as it looked like one of those ships that the Decepticons used.

 

This confused me a bit too. I just assumed he was another knight-ish cybertronian that came to Earth to deliver the talisman. xD

What if after the events of AOE, the knights escaped Lockdowns ship and went back to their underwater ship to guard the staff and some of them did not make it because he was shot down by TRF

 

Whole bunch of the Knights were stood in a group on the Knight ship - with the red one. Rest of the bots weren't sure about them.

I liked that scene.

I don't remember how many there were. We know Quintessa made 12. 12 were said to make Dragonstorm.

Steelbane dies, Optimus killed 2.

Were those three apart of the 12, are there more? Only 12 are special? Optimus doesn't combine.

I sorta assumed the knight at the beginning had come from the underwater ship to deliver the Talisman. That would makes sense if the Staff (Merlin) and Excalibur (Arthur) were originally buried together. Perhaps they became aware of Unicron awakening and thus sent one of their number to go find a worthy "Last Knight". Unfortunately, the knight randomly flew over Chicago (or was drawn by the carnage/dead Transformers) and got shot down by the TRF. That would make him one of the 12, then?

Also, on the red knight, he was NOT one of the knights who formed Dragonstorm at the beginning of the movie. He very clearly commanded the others to merge to form the dragon, then it clearly showed the dragon forming while he was still standing there talking to Merlin. So it seems there are at least 13 knights originally.

The red knight looks badass by the way. It indeed shows him in the modern segment of the movie, and his eyes are glowing this fantastic red.

 

jeeze, as if the overpowered autobots needed a damn dragon..
