I don't understand why they stopped doing that, I thought it was very cool.

Yeah I do miss it, though it didn't mind not having it for AOE. But for The Last Knight, I wanted more than what we got. Here, it kinda looked like a video game opening screen. I was almost expecting "Press Start" to appear under it.

Perhaps a more fitting title would be the logo made out of bone, then bring on the muscle, blood vessels, and skin.

Pfft, I miss Transformers transforming. Remember that? Back when these things visibly transformed ON SCREEN? When there were details to it and took longer than a "blink and you'll miss it" fraction of a millisecond? Yeah, those days.

There were ALOT of transformations in TLK. But you know why they're so fast now? Because in the first movie, everyone was seeing it for the first time. Now we're in the 5th movie, everyone's used to it. So they don't need to slow it down so we can see every detail. As long as there are on screen transformations I'm good.

the transformations in tlk were awful for the most part in my opinion...usually i look forward to the transformation montages but wow, not only were they lacking (accounting for a little over 2 mins of total time, which is a new low for the franchise by a wide margin), they were just incredibly bland; too fast, & just didn't look right...megatron's transformation when he lands to talk to lennox for example...it's just a blob of incoherence & all a sudden out pops megatron

i kinda miss the transforming titles but i kinda liked how aoe broke the mold & gave us eerie silence in the beginning & no narration of prime..clued us in that this was dark times & something was wrong.

also made sense for no opening narration in tlk since prime was again in a rough patch

I dunno. I feel like this problem is the least of the franchises issues going forward.

I don't miss it as much, but at least they did something different this time.

Except Transformation can be made into being part of a character's "style" - I.E. Animated Bumblebee actually does a backflip if you examine how both the on-screen animation model and the toy itself transform.

The reason the movie transformations are going so fast is because they're trying to hide the fact the transformations are cheating beyond even what the first film did.

I miss the transforming title sequence myself, I thought they really gave the films a unique vibe.

Still, with so much awesome (and costly) VFX elsewhere, the crew could afford to keep the title simple.

Yeah they were really neat, the one in the Last Knight feels like they actually forgot to put a title screen in so put it in for two seconds in-between voice overs.

Yeah that caught me completely off guard. Had me thinking my theater screwed up or something and started with the ending.

I'm fine with the non-transforming title as long as it's done well. AOE's was good, TLK's...........not good. Slightly better than Rogue One's title opening.

I was talking to a co-worker, and remembering when the first film started, the sounds as the Paramount Stars flew over the screen, before they made a 'powering down' sound as they clicked into place.

Though even the ending to TLK felt rather rushed. Optimus delivers his speech, and then 'Directed by' comes up, as if Bay was just like, "throw that up and I'm out!"

I liked the title change in AOE, it went well with the darker tone of the opening. TLK's title however, it was just slapped on it and faded out quickly. Sloppy, like everything else in this damn film. Who edited TLK? Never hire them again for anything, not even plumbing!
