    Would you care to enlighten me further on the difference between the 2? :) 

    I'll put it down like this:

    I'm well acquainted with couple of direct sources (not the typical toyshops/resellers but rather, main distributors so I'll get my stuffs at prices way way below SRP) & with that status, I've been running preorders & catering to the local community for many years. But having say that, I do not buy/sell at cost these days...Not anymore.

    I'm definitely not seeing myself asking for crazy amount of money either, like some of the listings on eBay certainly suggests.

    I think what he's trying to say is that, if you have the figure pre-ordered on a website somewhere, you make arrangements where you would cancel your pre-order so that the other person can add it to their cart to buy it themselves. Whereas the scenario described by the former supposes that you already paid for the figures, and that you want to sell them to get your money back, or something along those lines.
