Oh sweet! Well, since we're on the subject, could you maybe take a pic or two of a Titanmaster in head mode on Hexatron's shoulder, to compare sizes and scales?

(I'm a blasphemer -- I like Hexatron better than TR sizshot, I like the idea of Sixshot being a Headmaster, and I'm thinking I might just get me a Hexatron and customize him into a Headmaster. Crazy, I know.)

 

Not crazy at all.

I'm a huge Hexatron fan, but even I'm prepared to concede that his head/helmet is a bit on the small side (in proportion to his body). A larger helmet would struggle to fit inside his chest cavity in alt modes, so you'd pretty much have to parts-form him.

Clonedroid tried a differently shaped helmet to remedy this - achieving a slightly better-proportioned look - but I'm sorry Clonedroid fans; I just don't like the shape of the Clonedroid head.

But the beauty of customising him into a Headmaster is that you can have exactly the size/look/colour head that you want, without any of the alt modes being affected.

I for one, look forward to seeing what you come up with

If TR Six Shot got screwed up somehow I would own Hexatron right now. That being said TR Six Shot is the winner here. The pure G1 blocky and clean aesthetic is what I was looking for in Six Shot.

 

I keep going back-and-forth on TR Sixshot (I'm leaning more towards Takara's LG Sixshot, though) - partly because I've already got Hexatron, and partly because I've also pre-ordered (and prepaid for) Fanstoys Hydra. I think if I sell my G1 Sixshot - something I never thought I'd do a few years ago, being that he's my all-time fav transformer - then maybe I'll get TR/LG Sixshot.

 

Before Hydra was a thing I skipped out on Hexatron because I didn't like it's aesthetic. I felt he looked too much like a departure from G1 to really be satisfactory for me. But Titans Returns is practically perfect. I actually didn't know about Hydra, and he looks good, but I'm 100% okay with the TR one myself.

 

I got both. I prefer the official one. I don't regret buying Hexatron tho.

 

Dunno if it's just me, but it seems that the molding on the left side of Sixshot's Titan Master's head seems somewhat rough? I include some photos to show what I mean.



This issue also seems to be somewhat prevalent to varying extents on a good number of Sixshot figures, and its retools (Quickswitch and Legends Greatshot), as can be evidenced by galleries and video reviews, which I would link to here.
