Noice. Continuing the age old stop motion/ story based Japanese TF video commercials.

 

I don't speak Japanese, and I haven't seen the new movie yet, but I suspect that the commercial is more entertaining and has better character development.

 

That Megatron face... terrifying and hilarious!  

 

Great video. It's nice to see Japan still has respect for the brand despite the current downturn elsewhere.

 

I liked hearing the Japanese announcer guy say the name "Sqweeks".

Also, the Dinobots have more screentime in this ad than in the movie.

 

Imagine if they retooled megatrons backpack to be more compact and made the wings become his shield. Now that's something I'd gladly buy

 

So......we're getting a Slag? Does that means we'll get the other Dinobots as well?

 

The animation was "pretty descent". Wasn't the best officially made TF Stop motion. Several fan animations on YouTube are much better.. but then again, I'm probably more nitpicky when it comes to this stuff.

I just wish Takara would release some exclusives to their line, but they\'re not.

Not even TakaraTomy can transform and pose these toys right.

Megatron's face was shoved up his head, and Grimlock's horns were perked up like ears. Some of the poses were just kinda awkward to boot.

These are the same kinda odd "how'd they seriously miss that" things Hasbro does all the time in stock photos.

 

Dinobots getting more screen time in a commercial than they did in the film..............

 

I can't be the only one disappointed that the wave 1 repaint BB got to enjoy more commercial & promo time than the vastly superior incoming wave 3 version. Poor schmuck, all that ever got was the Enterprise commercial, and furthermore not to be respected, in a mistransformed state.

 

I couldn't care any less about the Bayformers...but I love fun toy commercials. I only saw some of their Licca-chan commercials which are also great.
